Secret Boxes drop from everything I think. I found several while collecting Masks to make a new Marble for PB and I got one from an Instructor while inside Empress.

the noses do not. but they are only level 10 anyway

Yes the Tempest items came with pot.

everyone in my buddy list who got a tempest item said that they were epic on reveal from these boxes
(and the rings as well! lol price drop)

Confirming all Tempest EQ from those pink boxes are all Epic on reveal.

Speaking of the Dimensional Invade PQ and for your awareness, there are some reports of players (mainly bishops with hyper skills) getting 30-day auto bans in the PQ. Here's the Thread for it. Hope they'll catch whatever is triggering it and fix it in the USC.

Meh, should've sold my epic shoulderpads. Maybe now I can get some for personal use.

[Complete] The maintenance is complete as of 6:00 PM Pacific. Cash items in your inventory have been extended to cover the amount of time the game was unavailable.

We will be performing an unscheduled server maintenance beginning on April 3, 2013. It will last approximately 3 hours.

Eastern: 6 PM - 9 PM Wednesday, April 3, 2013

What will be unavailable:

• All MapleStory game servers.
  

Changes and Updates:

• A fix will be applied for server restarts that are occurring after the v.132 update due to some out of of date item data on a small number of characters.
  
• Premium Surprise Style Boxes now correctly give out permanent items. Those players who were affected by this item will have their duration items replaced with permanent ones.
  
• We will be holding a 2x EXP & Drop Event following the maintenance. It will begin one hour after the maintenance is complete, and will last for 2 hours.
  

Aaaand now it says in the chat box that the items you get from the Secret Boxes expire on the 23rd every time you open one >_>
