Black Magician's Lab
#1
Coolest quest in MS? OR COOLEST QUEST IN MS EVER?

HECK YES. Gosh dang Magatia is like the sexiest quest town ever made. Once you start doing the quests relating to De Lang things start to get awesome. I just finished the part where I had to restabilize the Magic Pentagram in the Black Magician's Lab. Yeah. THE BLACK MAGICIAN. I LOVED the passage you had to navigate to get to his secret lab. Dang. It's all ominous and dark and fake platforms and long drops and crap. :O!

PIC MOST DEFINITELY RELATED

Discuss how awesome Magatia's quests are. Do it.

Awww way to spoil it for me, I was going to finish the chains today.

Anyway I love the backstory, and the concept of the 2 sides (though the fact that you can choose both is sort of a double edged sword story-wise) but I hate running back to alacaster. Oh well, its still a great town, B>more magatia quests

I'm gonna get to that part today. It's so awesome and is probably the hardest place in MS to get to. Requires a large chain of quests + a maze.

Workin on it, just a few more quests to go..

I made a few GMS-relevant edits to Strategywiki to help people out. I edited all the parts I ran into problems with or that might cause confusion. Hopefully that'll prevent some questions. Lol

I really, really enjoyed the De Lang storyline. It was great, and the quests relating to him were awesome.

Oh, and I pulled an all-nighter to get every single quest done. Tongue

Going back and Forth to Alcaster makes me rage, but it's a fun set of quests regardless.

Yeah, it got especially annoying during the diary part. Holy frick. I lost track of how many total trips I made during this questing spree.

Atleast they make it a little easier with the magical dust stuff from Phyllia taking you from Ariant to Magatia.

Or you could just take the camel :\

True, but hardly. It takes less than a minute to run right -> camel taxi.

So what was everyone's favorite part of Magatia questing? And who'd you give the diary to? Zenumists? Alcadnos? His wife? It wasn't even a question for me; I chose his wife (120k exp, 30 fame, 30 Elixirs).

Wife as well. I couldn't care less about those capes.

Since capes are tradeable [final version], going to wife.

thanks, I wrote the guides from raw quest data so I don't always understand exactly what it wants to do. I could remember most of the quests up to 55 from KMS but after that point (And let's face it, that's where most of the interesting quests are) I wasn't sure.

As for me, i was thinking of giving the book to the Zenumists, but when Carson said he wanted to burn it I turned around and gave it to Phyllia. At least Maed was humble about it, he knew what he did was wrong. Carson was being a plantain so he lost out. XD\

In regards to this, the level 35 capes were supposed to be tradeable too, and they weren't, so don't count on this I'm afraid :/

Saw the final version cape [black, Alchendo or w/e] in FM store for 25m so i know it's confirmed to be tradeable.

Yea Felix, when I walked into the Lab last night I had the exact same reaction and took a screenie right away. Submitted it to basil too considering the place is fucking awesome and will probably mean a lot more with stories of the Maple World to come, but alas, they felt that a person who bought and transformed 3 Crystal Reindeer was more important.

Nope, I didn't see any (I checked). Perhaps I was unlucky, but I doubt we have it yet.

And @ Froz: ...lol That's Basil for you.
