This Summer!

'Maple Story' will receive some game-changing updates during the spring and everything will conclude to a huge update next summer! I'll give you a few spoilers in this post!

Many players are enjoying revamped Striker and Wind Archer. Next up is Soul Warrior which we truly think you will love. Many players have been wondering what will happen to Mikhail. Mikhail class is going to get a revamp soon as well. It will also be the first SUPER-TIER Class and get legendary 5th job skills. Stay tuned for Blaze Wizard and Night Walker revamping as well! It's gonna be great!

Fifth job skills will also reach other classes next summer! But not more about that until later.

The rest sounds almost believable, but that. THAT has got to be a joke, right?

The sad part is that they might have gotten away with it if they hadn't included Mikhail.

Last edit I swear: Both of these are most definitely fake but I would not be surprised if at least one of those things happened- not the Mihile one.

How ironic that it's the Dawn Warrior, of all Cygnus classes, that gets the highlight now. I'm betting it'll be done at the same time as well.

I'd be actually okay with first 5th Job skills.

We used to think (or hope) that Mihile itself was an April 1st joke

I've always wondered why people pick on Mihile so much. Is it simply because he is a job instructor? People always say "lazers" but most of his skill set is more original than most other classes. Plus, he also has a decent storyline which I enjoyed. Overall he is a light, fast and fun class to play. Not every class is meant to be mained and funded to insane levels.


Personally, I wish they would go on and release the other 4 Cygnus instructor simply because I would love to play their storylines.

I was planning on just making a spoiler saying april fools but decided to go further than that.

Except that it does bring something new to the table. It brings an interesting storyline and a new type of playstyle.

Dawn Warriors and Mihiles share a few skills, but other than that Mihile is nothing like Dawn Warriors.

A story can be told in different ways, we do not need to have 40960596049 or so classes to tell everything if the story is properly integrated into lore or otherwise officially published. Though Mihile is nothing like a Dawn Warrior he operates on the same basics as the other Warriors and is basically redundant in terms of bringing in new skills/functionality since what he can do is something most other warriors can do, and his lasers are of course already the domain of another.

Incidentally:

Not every class is meant to be mained and funded to insane levels.

Is not applicable to Mihile, at least not at SEA currently. My world's top Dark Knight has a Mihile with about 80k range and he says his Mihile performs a lot better than his Dark Knight. It's just that most people don't bother funding Mihile since you can't use his Crash to stack with another Magic Crash and Rage becomes a party buff one patch after.
