Doctor Who - Series 8
#61
The plot was definitely a little on the weak side, and didn't seem to resolve itself (did the snow just melt?), but the episode itself was amazing. Strax was a great character, especially his interaction with The Doctor.

Clara was a simply marvelous character, even without the timey-wimey-ness of her character. I can't to see how Moffat connects Clara and Oswin. (And if he manages to conclude the "Doctor Who?" arc/involve River Song, it will be just that much amazing.)

As a side-note, does anyone know how Strax got brought back? Was it just that random future tech that Vastra has?

And on the 31st, the Third Doctor Revisited special will air on BBC America.

Quote:Spearhead From Space has been chosen by BBC America to represent the Third Doctor in its Doctor Who: The Doctors Revisited celebratory season.

A documentary entitled The Doctors Revisited: The Third Doctor will air on Sunday 31st March at 8pm Eastern/7pm Central, followed by the four-part story that ushered in the Jon Pertwee era.

The documentary will see Steven Moffat, Caroline Skinner, David Tennant, and Hugh Bonneville discussing how the Third Doctor brought action and stunts to the series. It will also feature other as-yet-unspecified contributors.

Um no. Clara first said it in Asylum of the Daleks.

Doctor Who 50th anniversary:
90 minute 3D episode. 10th Doctor and Rose return.
I can imagine people being quite happy about this, I know how much some people love David Tennant.

Anyway, looking forward to the episode tonight. Can't wait to learn more about Clara.

While I agree that they brought her back too much during the Russel T. Davies era (9th and 10th doctors) It will be nice to see her now and how she contrasts with the way the show is recently. It's hard to imagine her interacting with Matt Smith or Jenna-Louise Coleman. It's been quite a while since Rose last appeared, I think it's been long enough now for it to not feel forced.

Ewww I was hoping Rose would never come back. It's bad enough I'll have to watch the Tenth Doctor again, but at least they won't be the center of attention in the 50th.

It's only just began filming, I don't think there's been any word about an airdate. Though I'd love to stand corrected. :3

I enjoyed tonight's episode but considering the break I was over-hyped.

I think I kind-of overhyped it too.
it was still a good episode though.

I thought there wasn't really any sort of villain in this episode... well there was, but it wasn't particularly menacing.

One thing that my dad noticed, which I didn't at first, is that Clara's "Around the world" travel book had a year of her life crossed off from 10-24, but age 23 was missing.

I sense timey wimey stuff happening here. especially since she invented the name Oswin in this episode. Is this chronologically before her death? this is very confusing. I'm honestly stumped as to Clara's identity, her deaths and just.. everything about her.

Also, I wonder if she still maintained her computer savvy genius after the episode ended.

EDIT: Oh, and by the way, I loved the new revamped opening theme. It sounds awesome.
