I'm guessing that's a vasto lorde or a vizard in the making? Looks quite a lot like Ichigo when he went apeshit on Ulquiorra. Maybe there's a link. Isshin is hot.

Flashback is interesting.

So isshin is going to fight a vasto lord and ichigos hollow form was that of a vasto lord.

Time to add another bleach "plot twist" to the "no pomegranate,we've know that for months/years" pile.

The vasto lorde is going to kill the mother calling it now.

Badf'uckingass. About time we get the backstory on why Ichigo's hollow looked like that and was so insanely strong.

No way it's just a normal Vasto Lord, it has to be much crazier than that to not only have ties to Aizen, but also presumably mess up Isshin.

Whoever that Ryuu Ishida is, I hope that he is Ichigo's father, that'd make things more interesting. He's got the whole Ichigo look on him, plus he also has his serious and calm personality (except when friends mess up with him, his mother's genes come afloat).

You know, for the first time I've come to wonder, if Soul Society and Huevo Mundo are basically afterlife, then where is Ichigo's mom? She was killed while being alive by tha fisher hollow which should be different from being eaten while being a ghost, shouldn't she be around somewhere? I really hope she's at least on Juhabach's side because she seems like a cool character to meet.

Do you mean Ryuu Ishida? I'm pretty sure that is Uryu Ishida's father. Also pretty sure that Isshin is Ichigo's father as their bankais and personalities are way too similar.

Yah my mistake, I meant to say Ishida, not Ishinn. And here we go again with Ishinn's Bankai, we already talked about it. I think Lozmaster argument was that Isshin wouldn't be fighting Aizen without at least shikai and I said something like nor urahara or Yoruichi were using theirs either... I don't remember. Anyway considering how many current captains have been hidding their bankais (including Unohana cuz we ddn't see pomegranate) why s it unplausible for another one to do the same?

Going back to Ichigo and Isshin, if we haven't seen Isshin's Bankai we can't tell if their are similar. And definitely not their personalities, Isshin is barely ever serious and Ichigo is overly serious. Doesn't he beat his own father all the time because of that?

Dam you aizen! Pretty good chapter wasn't expecting aizen to join the fight. He usually sits back and watch like a boss

Pretty good chapter, even if it relied on Aizen scheming again. That was cool seeing Isshin 'use' his shikai, even if it was only for a second or two. I must've missed the reason why the Vasto Lord used that cero because it seemed pretty random imo.

Also it was interesting to get a little Quincy backstory, although Masaki seems like the only likeable person in that house.

Probably the most common idea is that either the hollow's ability or Masaki's power will somehow seal it (the hollow) in Masaki, and Isshin will impregnate her, and that results in Ichigo's triforce of hollow/quincy/soul reaper.

I feel like there'll also be a little flashback to when Masaki died. The Grand Fisher will be just derping around, and Ichigo's hollow awakens, scaring off the Fisher (who was probably curious as to why there was a high hollow energy?) and Masaki realizes this, and tries to protect Ichigo's hollow from completely awakening/escaping, dying in the process as the hollow cuts her and returns to Ichigo. Pretty stereotypical, but the whole Ichigo's self-guilt realization for his mother's death is too common of a theme in manga to pass up by Kubo.

Just my two cents on this chapter and upcoming ones.

Yeah i agree, it's becoming far more forshadowy of ichigo being the "cause" of her death, with isshin perhaps blaming himself because he couldn't stop it.

She's pretty full of piss and vinegar.

This chapter was pretty decent. It seem that ichigo mom got bitten by the hollow? Maybe he transfer his powers in to her when she got bit. When aizen did his experiment with the first set of vizards didn't they infect each other?

Pretty meh chapter. I like the backstory, but it seems to be dragging imo. Strange how that hollow exploded and how aizen said it "chose" masaki although it was a dead shinigami

I don't really see how it can go faster. This is about how Isshin and Masaki met, related to each other, fell in love, made Ichigo and how Aizen pineappleed it all up. This is definitely gonna take a long while if they are also adding Urahara and maybe even the Vizards. "anything but the rain" might become as big an arc as "deicide" was.

My bet is what Aizen meant by "unfold" is that whitey infected Masaki with the hollowfication virus and now she will start to turn into one. Urahara finds her and to save her he supresses the virus in a child that becomes Ichigo. Wether Isshin is the father at all IDk.
