Boss Damage Vs. Ignore Defense Rate.

CarrionCrow Wrote:It says Ignore Monster MAGIC DEF... implying it could just as well say Physical DEF too. Problem is that it refuse to show the whole sentence.

Actually it says "Ignore Monster Magic DEF: ...". That colon seems to indicate the end of the text, and the part we can't see is only the number.

As some of you may recall, it used to just say "Ignore Monster DEF:", and it turned out that it really was only ignoring Physical DEF, and not Magical.
Nexon was actually made to notice and acknowledge that, and even fix it.
Or, at least, they "fixed" the text... Now it only says Magical, and the number can't even be seen.
I don't know whether it is a text only problem or they also changed it to work only on MDR.

edit: was doing other stuff, but I'm guessing PDR is the monster's def in your formula?

Anyways multiplying all the ignore% together doesn't exactly work. If you multiply 2 50% defense ignore together, 50% x 50% = 25%. That's like saying the more defense ignore lines you have the less defense you ignore.

I think you mean DEF - DEF * DEFIGNORE1 * [( 1 - DEFIGNORE1 ) * DEFIGNORE2 ] X {[ 1 - ( 1 - DEFIGNORE1 ) X DEFIGNORE2 ] * DEFIGNORE3 } * ...
which would be equivalent to DEF * ( 1 - DEFIGNORE1 )( 1 - DEFIGNORE2 )( 1 - DEFIGNORE3 )...

Yeah that's what I meant, Thinking it in my head then typing it got my formula messed up.
With that being said, It doesn't seem like too much of an issue to get a decent amount of PDR, going off of CPB as a standard I think I've got enough PDR already to not have a huge decline in damage and as a result I know it's going to be better for me to focus on accumulating boss damage. Thank you all for your input to this question/discussion.
