Some stupid kid ate those things years ago and accidentally swallowed the toy. Next thing you know, they were banned.

Some stupidity about having stuff inside the chocolate eggs. Since we all know that the 'muricans are smart enough to wobble stuff in one bite...

Fucking ninjas in my yard ninjaing my stuff.

Thank God, it's been years since I've had one of these. That's why you don't swallow the egg whole. Makes me ashamed to live in America.

Wish they'd show a picture of the new product, so we can see how they made it safe enough for 'murrican children under 3.

Also, I hope, for your sakes, that the chocolate part tastes like Ferrero and not Hershey's (yeah, I'm elitist against American "chocolate").

They were banned in the US? For how long? These eggs have been selling in Canada as far as I can remember.

I only found out when I heard on the news that someone from Canada (IIRC) tried bringing them to the states, and the borders didn't like it.

Welcome to the club, the "toys" inside the eggs are such a waste of plastic and resources though... But still I always wanted surprize eggs as a kid. It was entertaining to see what there is, even though the stuff always ended up in trash after 1-2 days.

They're still illegal.

Just a different brand named "Choco Treasures" will be sold instead that bypasses the restriction Kinder Eggs had on them by making the chocolate not surround the toy completely.

It looks like this:
