Demon Slayer over here not getting any respect on his part. Without DS, the fight would have went on with Black Mage having a Shield. Heck, Aran never even physically was at the actual fight, and I think Phantom as well(they had the job to stall other generals). they both were occupied with something else. the only people who significantly did anything to the black mage was Freud, DS and Luminous.

The actual fight was a pretty sick story telling with Aran and Pantom killing serveral of the Black Mages Generals.

You also forgot Mercedes helped fight with Freud.

Mercedes involvement with Freud ended open ended. it was impossible to tell if mercedes even remotely hurt the black mage or not through her opening video, whereas DS visibly destroyed the Black Mage's Barrier, Freud set up the sealing technique and Luminous aided Freud and fought the black mage directly, sealing the black mage for the time, at the cost that the black mage became part of Luminous.

Mercedes distracted the black mage with her mobility. She was never meant to truly hurt him, just keep him distracted while Freud did a spell.

A while back me and a friend had this Maple What-If type of game where we would tell how events in MS happened differently than they actually did and how things were changed because of it, when it came to the case of Aran and Phantom we said that nothing much changes with or without them.

More like he paid with half of his sanity. He was born as part of the Black Mage.

The Heros did what any good LoL player knows will end in complete disaster.

They decided to enter the fight one after another instead of all at once. It's no surprise the Black Mage got a pentakill against noobs.

Aran was busy getting one of those sex changes during the Black Mage fight, so of course they'd end up late.

Phantom...he's just butthurt over losing his booty call.

If they decide to change anything with battle mage or evan, wanna bet they will just give them AFA?

That depends, if you count in the present era you cannot leave out Phantom's involvement in ousting Hilla and if he was really fighting the twins back then it's hard to say if they could have spoiled the plan to seal the Black Mage.

Also, have I mentioned all of these jabs at Aran and Phantom are hilarious?

Reduce cooldown after switching skills to 5sec
Able to steal 4 1st/2nd/3rd/4th job skills, otherwise old rules still apply
Hyper skill to boost back stolen buff durations
Damage penalty applied to stolen skills, compensated by improved card system
Improved 4th job offensive card skills to make them worthy
Phantom has learned from the new Maple World! Now able to steal Cannoneer and Dual Blade skills

Hey buddy, though you and I are probably pretty chill with each other what with liking Phantoms and generally having the same idea about what we want for the revamp I might have flipped a table seeing a new post here, except I know to not expect any news until the tell tale patch available thread shows up.

I don't even know why I said that.

What I want for Phantom:

or to make it even more fun, he could "borrow" (not steal) skills from other chars (including heroes, resistences, novan, etc.) on the same map

On that note, I would love to see a single-target rapid slashing skill that increases slightly in power with a decrease in avoid or something of that sort. I thought Blason was pretty cool and given that we now know Phantom was originally a noble himself it's not too far-fetched that he might have learned something just like it.

Yea I'm really most excited to see A) what jobs they are rebalancing, B) what kinds of changes they are making to those jobs, and C) what jobs are going to get rebalanced next.
