Also: hey just me or does karma looks darker? Did riot gave in on people saying there wasn't a black champion?

Absolute trash. They deleted Karma, made a new champion, and called it Karma. The classic skin is merely a skin inspired by the actual Karma, from now on I'm calling her "Karma", not Karma. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the visual rework. It's nice. It isn't Karma and it never will be.

If they remove almost everything that identified Karma as Karma why bother with a rework? Just release a new champion.

Plus old Karma's dress may have been a little impractical. And all she had was a boring robe and a pair of fans. And that floating thing I guess. The same reason I used a custom skin on her, it brought more color to her and made her stand out. But honest I thought the most interesting part about Karma were her fans. Quotes were boring, dress boring, floaty thing not very noticeable, she didn't stand out. New Karma's left leg is more interesting then all of old Karma

I like the new Karma and am happy to receive a traditional skin. Can't wait to hear her new voice and hoping they didn't change much of her playing style. I really like the way she plays, all I really ask for is to make her Spirit Bond a bit more useful.

Dear lord Headhunter Nidalee... I don't even play her or anything but that splash art looks effing gorgeous. So good it makes me want to buy a skin for a champ I don't even play. Dat ass... I just hope it's not Legendary, my poor wallet ;__;

In regards to Karma relaunch, I'm super stoked. I understand that her fans are part of what made her iconic to Karma players, but I think that pushing towards stronger characterization is a really great move for Riot. Picked her up today with IP for the free skin, but I probably won't use her much until after the relaunch is live.

Karma's meditating was again, part of the character for me. This skin cut her hair. Yes, she looks mystical and all that but not in the way that Karma did. "Karma" does it differently, with a different style. Yes, the fans were a focal point of Karma (which "Karma" does not have) and gave her a link to Janna. Quotes boring? Dress boring? Her quotes are calm and relaxed like her demeanour. Her dress is boring because she grew up in squalor. "Karma" looks majestic, too majestic to have lived a life of squalor.

As for your statements about "Karma"'s leg, that just reflects why this sort of thing happens in the first place. :v

At first I was like "Ok so they made Karma more fanservicey" but then realized that they pretty much have changed everything about her. this isn't Karma. She has a new look, new skills, new background, new Lore, new design and doesn't use her trademark weapons anymore.

The only thing they haven't changed about her is:
A) Her name
B) She's female
C) she's Ionian.

While I like "New" Karma and look forward to seeing her skills, it still seems like a massive change. I personally liked how Old Karma played, they could have just buffed her. and I personally liked her appearance too, she seemed grand and majestic and mystical. Whereas right now she reminds me too much of Syndra, and has an added layer of exposed skin to make her more in line with recent female champions.

That being said, I also personally love her skin colour (though the Splash Art doesn't reflect the skin colour she has in game)

I dunno, i'm of mixed opinions about this. They say that she's been changed to be a "badass conduit of inner strength that brings Ionia’s strength to every battlefield." rather than a "matronly diplomat" but I personally liked that about her. This new character seems like too much of a generic fighter.

I think being a passive diplomat and a calm, powerful woman are more fit to rule a nation than a young enchantress in a skimpy dress running into a battlefield.

If Sakura Karma has a leg peeking out i will be not be happy.

Honestly I think it works out with her. As a person that makes original characters, sometimes change is nice. Even it means that I the creator decides to revamp the whole person and start with a fresh slate for ideas. It's always a good way to build more character for that person after so long. So therefore I think that's what Riot is trying to do for the players that do play Karma they heard the cries of people that wanted change and tried to shape out the change. If anything, (Rage if you want) I think it fits the Ionian clothing/item style they have in their country considering Irelia's appearance.

But just like with Maplestory it seems like no one is ever happy with hardwork that comes with change to please people. Though they probably had an idea that some people may not like the new appearance and decided to throw in the old design as a bonus.

Either way I myself in the end like the new design.

Well she's definitely got Mantra still and I'm pretty sure she's got a version of Spirit Bond still from the images.

Her "essence" is so strong that it is shown on parts of her body, like on her left leg. I find it really cool, and makes me feel Karma is way more in tuned with her spiritual self then before. But that's just me.

Also her sleeves in her classic skin during mantra look pretty baws too.[/COLOR]

The last picture to his final evolution form looks more like an amphibian than goo. Would really be interesting if he was a sort of jungler and could eat people/minions to hurt them in his acid.

Just bought karma to get the skin after the rework (She was cheap and i haven't used any IP since Vi anyway). Its fun having a two spell burst, if i had build Lich Bane sooner i would probably have a three spell nuker. Sadly her W its a piece of pomegranate skill, plain and simple :/ at the least they could have make it so the leashed target would be damaged for half or something, during that coop match i barely remembered to use it.

here are the hints we've gotten about his skills and style:

He does have an escape tool... but it's more of a reverse escape tool. Man mode.

Hmm...His Ult causes him to attach himself to another champion, increasing their size and stats for a short period.

This means cho'gath gets even bigger.

If you look at the pictures in his teaser, you'll see three forms.

His ultimate, like cho gath, will allow him to change into these forms if used successfully.



Acquiring these new forms will probably alter his base skills, akin to how Kha'zix gets upgraded skills.

He also probably has something along the lines of a "glob mark", which procing will deal additional damage, like how anivia's E will deal additional damage to chilled champions

Unstable Matter sounds pretty cool. Maybe it's the escape they mentioned, he turns into liquid or goo by making his matter unstable and becomes slow but untargetable.

I say it slows him because they mentioned it was like a reverse escape. Slowing yourself down to escape sounds pretty reverse to me.
