I've done this many times. INTJ.
Just about everyone on SP is an introvert, as expected

It's the same for most internet forums.
I sure wonder why

Because everyone knows extroverts have no time for forums. Kidding, but I'm sure you know what I mean.

And of course even though INTJ's are rare in the general population, they are common in the Southperry population
I'd guess the 2 most common types here are INTJ and INTP.
14 introverts and 3 extroverts.
And 2 people who benefited from my thoughtfulness to cater for those who don't care about this, but gain satisfaction from ticking a box and clicking a button

INTP.
Introvert(78%) iNtuitive(25%) Thinking(50%) Perceiving(11)%
" INTPs are pensive, analytical folks. They may venture so deeply into thought as to seem detached, and often actually are oblivious to the world around them.
Precise about their descriptions, INTPs will often correct others (or be sorely tempted to) if the shade of meaning is a bit off. While annoying to the less concise, this fine discrimination ability gives INTPs so inclined a natural advantage as, for example, grammarians and linguists. "
That just sounds like me.
Might just also be because everybody in my class has got a pancake in their head instead of a brain.

There's only one thing I dislike about this test and that's its popularity. Not to be a hipster or anything, but HR departments are known to rely on tests like these much more than is warranted. Sure it's got limitations and controversy, but which part in psychology doesn't? The thing is that while taking it for fun and experimentation doesn't hurt, it's not justified enough on an application level.
I had to take something like this to work at freakin target. These make finding temp work a nightmare for me. Nobody in retail wants to hire an introvert. :/

Which just proves how pineappleing retarded it is that they ask you to take one to begin with.
Introverts don't have worse social skills than extroverts.

The huge limitations in these tests is that they use sterotypes to work out what type you are. Which is why you can appear to be more than one type. I think it is absoutely disgusting that employers use it to decide who to hire (although it is good when it is used for people already hired, to help improve relations between employees). a) it is nowhere near reliable enough, and b) stereotyping to that extent is silly.
The reliability of tests like these is possibly less than 50%, from what I've read. Honesty plays a big part, and the stereotypes themselves are limited. Intuition versus Sensing in particular seems to be a VERY common one the tests get wrong, because people like to try and sound smarter than they are, and the one they aren't always sounds smarter!!! When I lie, it says I am a sensor! When I am honest, it says I am an intuitive. I suspect that sensors often come up as intuitives because they thought those questions sounded smarter! I think that is because we take for granted what we are good at, and assume those who can do what we can't do must be smart! Judging versus perceiving as well, the stereotypes there are extremely limited (and if you know the underlying cognitive function theory you can see why). When I am completely honest, all the tests actually do come up with ENTP for me though (which I'm quite sure is correct, because it is completely consistent with the underlying theory).
Some employers like SJ's because they are the least likely to oppose practices of the company. NT's on the other hand can be real rebels, so they consider them a pain!
If an employer had genuine reason to use these tests to decide who to hire (I can't think of an example, but there probably are a few special cases), they should be getting the tests carried out by a trained professional who also knows the underlying theory and can ensure that the type conclude is correct, and not just from incorrect/ dishonest answers.
A friend of mine worked at a stationary and computers shop. He is an introvert (I think he is an INTJ), and he was one of the best people there at the job!!! Excellent social skills, and extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
I think it is a real shame that this stuff is used for such a stupid purpose. It is such a good tool for people to understand themselves and those they work with in the interest of improving relations and understanding how differently other people think, as that can also explain why a lot of conflicts occur and allows it to be solved more easily as it can be seen why it happened and that both people were actually right in a lot of cases (and like I have said a number of times, the best way is to learn the underlying cognitive function theory and factoring that in when working out peoples types, as that is wayyyyy more accurate. MBTI itself is these tests, that attempted to make the underlying theory more understandable to every day people.). It is just so disgusting that employers are using it to discriminate.
This thread was mostly just for fun and because it is interesting to look at how other people think. Accuracy is questionable at best, although the huge bias towards INTJ is not surprising me one bit; it is one of the geekiest type, along with INTP in particular (stereotyping a bit). And Southperry is a fairly geeky community!!!

Well said. I have learned a lot about how I work from taking these tests, but given that I would still behave somewhat differently at the workplace it is not a reliable indicator of how or whether I'd actually fit in with the company. It would seem too that these companies that force prospective employees to take the test do not realize that it would be low on validity for them, as the traits measured here would not accurately tell their person job fit even if the candidate answered honestly.

Quote:ISFJ
Introvert(44%) Sensing(88%) Feeling(12%) Judging(11%)
You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (44%)
You have strong preference of Sensing over Intuition (88%)
You have slight preference of Feeling over Thinking (12%)
You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (11%)
Looks like I am ISFJ. Went to read it up and quite a lot of it holds true, especially with wanting to do things myself rather than delegating and finding it hard to say no. Also the part about aesthetics, I am extremely fussy if even 1 pixel is off on a design for example.
Also this part is scarily accurate:
Quote:ISFJs need positive feedback from others. In the absence of positive feedback, or in the face of criticism, the ISFJ gets discouraged, and may even become depressed. When down on themselves or under great stress, the ISFJ begins to imagine all of the things that might go critically wrong in their life. They have strong feelings of inadequacy, and become convinced that "everything is all wrong", or "I can't do anything right".

I didn't feel like doing the third one, but I decided to look up INTP:
Quote:Quiet and reserved, hard to get to know well. Individualistic, having no interest in leading or following others.
While the first part might not exactly be true in online situations (I'm more open online), the entire thing is very true in "real life."
I dunno, you guys be the judge about how well I am to get to know online >_>.
I definitely have no interest in leading or following others.
I would say it's pretty accurate then.

About as easy as it is to get to know me online or in real life, I suppose.
