Newby question, So we got the Moriranmaru boss?

Nope, I don't think we have any quests at all in that area save for kanna's. We'll probably get the boss when hayato's out. I think the boss is more directly linked to Hayato anyway. Could be completely wrong though.

No, Mori Ranmaru is more directly linked to Kanna. He's who Kanna was fighting in her video, and they are both the same class, so to speak. However, in JMS he was his own patch, which is probably why he's not released yet. In JMS the patches went Hayato -> Kanna -> Mori Ranmaru. In GMS it will probably be Kanna -> Hayato -> Mori Ranmaru.

Looking for Link's complete story and background on Kanna... All I'm getting on the net are badly pieced/fragmented bits and pieces.

From what I've read in game, Kanna and the princess were childhood friends until Kanna went away to train to become an Onmyouji. She trained under Tsuchimikado Haruaki until Nobunaga started his ritual and captured the princess. Kanna teamed up with Hayato and the sengoku leaders and they decided to split up, Kanna went to disrupt the ritual while Hayato went to fight Nobunaga and rescue the princess. After Hayato got his ass kicked and the princess rescued herself, everyone was sent to Maple World.

Yes, that was Kanna destroying the Altar. that weakened the ritual and allowed the princess to escape (as seen in Hayato's video)
Nobunaga was using the ritual and the princess's powers to become the 6th Sky Demon King or something. Text in game says that the Demon Sky is another world, like how Grandis is to Maple World, or Japan is to Maple World and that he was opening some kind of portal, which backfired and sent everyone to the wrong world.

Hey, in case anyone thinks the Root Abyss set was nerfed in any way, the weapons still have their Boss Damage bonus and the clothing still have their PDR ignore bonus.

I believe I've finished all of the quests for Kanna that's released so far. Wasn't the princess supposed to meet Cygnus or will that be released when Hayato comes?

I don't remember Sakuno meeting with Cygnus in the story line, though I never did actually read it nor do I remember it very well, but in JMS, Yukimura acts as an ambassador between the Sengoku Era militants and the Maple World (where he talks to Cygnus and other people from the Alliance). However, Hayato and Kanna are not part of the Maple Alliance, so no +5 all stat, +5 weapon/magic attack buff.

Read the character.wz in the data. The tags for boss damage "bdr" and monster defense ignore "imdr" (i think) still remains.

I'm really enjoying the class, I'm already 110.
Which may be slow to some of you, but for me, an individual who hates training, that's quite a statement.

It's 5% ignore on the equips, just like in KMS. The weapons have 30% Boss Damage.

Disappointing. Anyone know where you get 30/70/100 level Kanna gear then? I didn't see any quest for 30lvl one and the equip boxes give normal mage equips.

The 30/70 ones don't exist either.
You get the 100 ones from the princess at level 100 if you've done all previous Kanna quests (which isn't that many, imo)
