Talking about his Demon Slayer. You could resist the "Seal" on Queen and Pierre if you had high resistance, but I haven't been to RA on my Kaiser since this patch, so I cannot comment on it.

I wanted to add this in some time ago but kept forgetting, does anyone not a mage experience OHKO's from Pierre when using his Umbrella Thrust when using a movement skill into or out of its range? I survive perfectly fine if he pushes me back, but if I teleport into the skill or get caught as I'm teleporting (too slow) out of the range it turns into a OHKO.

Slightly unrelated, does anyone think the reason our Fafnir weapons and equips don't have the additional options (%Boss/PDR) is that we don't have Additional Options/Revamped Equip UI or did they actually remove them? Because these changes to boss drops and boss: drops feels copypasta, like MISS=>GUARD. Are the boss drops like this in KMS?

Vellum does still use poison. He used it in my run today.
I did not notice an increase in skill books... only got 1 between the 4 bosses.
Umbrella thrust does not OHKO my BM using DJ.

I believe Fiel mentioned there being tags for additional potential, but who knows how it would apply without the other requisite changes? I'd be very surprised if it worked properly.

I did not experience any of the hit box problems others described.

Found it funny when Limgoon went "Oooh ooooooh oooooh yayayaya oooooh" whenever dodging/running away when her super breath attacks. Hahaha!

There is a glitch where if a boss hit you with HP% based attack at the same time the boss dies/respawn, the normally non-fatal attack become fatal and kills you instantly. This will not work with regular damage that doesn't ignore invincibility.
This will often occur with normal mode Pierre because Pierre can respawn into another color at the same time using his umbrella rush move.

Since every attack in chaos mode is HP% based, this glitch can occur during bloody queen when she is changing faces while clawing your eyes out and at Pierre of course. (both untested, but possible)
An example outside root abyss would be victor and velderoth. Touching the green orb after victor die, or getting slash by velderoth when he dies.

On a side note, magic crashing the mirror and the queen will prevent the mirror from healing the queen if someone dies to it.

When Von Bon fires his orb attack now it hits you on the opposite direction to where he fires, and it's invisible. Since I've been hit from both directions, I think both the visible one and the invisible one can hit you. Wiped me out when I tried doing Von Bon.

It seems the hats dropped by the normal bosses do not carry potential anymore. I knew epic potentials upon reveal were too good to be true. Frown

When Pierre uses the hat change trick, I can't see the hat and thus its color on my Kanna, but it somehow fixes itself eventually and then breaks itself again.

Similar to this, but actually visible: Von Bon can now change the direction of the comet attack after initiating it, the same goes for Red Pierre's Assassinate move. Before the patch, if you simply moved behind either of these attacks as they were initiating (wand waving and teleport out, respectively) the attack would occur in the direction they faced before, during initiation. Now, Von Bon will fire at you even if he is facing the other direction and Pierre can switch direction while in his shadow world.

And yes, Vellum's Uppercut/Free Willy is doing odd things right now, like not showing up/hitting you from across the room.

That just seems like lag to me, as when you solo you do not come across any issues normally at all. I can solo the whole thing without a scratch still, and I do not notice any hit box issues.

That must be some godawful lag if he's still hitting you from halfway across the room..

It's not. This is happening with all bosses. Easier to see with Von Bon, but it also happens with the rest. Queen can also change the direction of her breath attack.

>move character
>character location updates serverside
>serverside sends character location to other clients


there has to be some kind of delay between you moving, and the server recognizing that you moved

What happens is ring becomes invisible temporarily, nothing about hitting you halfway across the room for me. As I can see it doing the "freewilly" attack I know how far that range goes. I sat a mule on the other half of the map and didn't die meanwhile I watch an invisible ring notification leading to the gigantic attack on myself. Following the body of the stupid boss for vellum is how it looks for me, but the rings doesn't follow the body 100% of the time or even show at all. Anyways, for the majority of the time, it seems normal but it does seeme to be messed up since the patch. So I'll take back what I said on lag, the problem of them switching directions I notice on Von Von. Queen I've noticed her switching sometimes too on breath attacks like HellenzSin stated, all other attacks from her looked normal, maybe save for that funky black hole mouth.

tl:dr, I recognize the issues you guys are talking about now for funky animations, I gotten bored of farming them recently.

What's pissing me off the most is pierre. He'll super KB with his umbrella and it will inexplicably instantly kill me. Even at full HP.

Man, this patch made Root Abyss bosses more annoying.

Screwy hit boxes when you're with a party (e.g. Von Bon's projectile changing directions, Crimson Queen's purple breath changing directions, and Vellum's full body assault changing directions).

The damage you deal when Pierre is wearing a blue hat in his fire tornado form is now hidden as well.

There's no more Hidden Potential Epic-on-reveal Hats, and the bosses drop boat loads of Crusader Coins now. They also drop 10% Scrolls now (I got a 10% Helmet INT), and 60% tradeable Chaos Scrolls.

It's not just Root Abyss monsters. It's all monsters. I noticed it with Drakes, Hilla, and many other monsters.
