She has status resistance/boss damage buffs, so she has some interesting party skills that no other job has. Also, heal I believe and she buffs different than other chars? I think the fox does all/some buffs kinda like an autobuff pet.

Spammable heal? I was wondering when they'd take away the monopoly from Bishops.

Did you know that Kanna can fasten the spawn rate of mobs?

I forgot if it was either fasten spawn rate or more mobs per map. I'm sure that'll give some autobans to some people.

Spirit Walker is a horrible name, and they should feel horrible for even thinking of it. Sounds like some crappy class title made by a 2nd grader role playing with his friends who have their own class names like "dino warror," "ghost lord," and "Master chief"

I won't comment on the translational accuracy, but claiming "Spirit Walker" is a 2nd grade class is just outrageous. Spirit Walker has been a classic RPG class that goes all the way back to DnD and maybe further. Calling it "crappy" is a baseless personal opinion and unnecessarily rude. The mythos frequently has Native American background, but not necessarily. From what little I know about the story line, Spirit Walker is a reasonable parallel for American culture.

Well, I would have liked to get some Hyper Skills on my Wild Hunter, but whatever. I'd have only gotten +50 dex and some buffs to how far my arrows can go anyway. I'm looking forward to how this all plays out and would like to see what kind of story Kanna and Hayato bring into the mix.

Good. Then lets look at Nexons pick and the weeaboo translation.
Spirit walker fits because spirits, but is a tad annoying since it brings the mind to indians.
Diviner is a problematic translation, beacuse the Kana class has little to do with soothsaying/fortune-telling, even if can be done through spirits. She is not really eating mushrooms, meditating or taking drum trips to reach the spirit world on a quest for information as far as I know. And if she is, then Shaman would have been better than Diviner.
Conclusion: Both names suck, but with Spirit Walker it is easier to picture what she really does gameplay wise. I'd have picked another option but if these were the two options, fine.

A tad off topic perhaps, but the hyper boost to WAB and other hurricanesque skills is crap, it is just a tiny boost in lenght, and in that extension FA won't trigger.

It wasn't officially announced before this announcement, no.

That "Year of the Snake" patch included some Sengoku set equips and the character creation tabs for Hayato/Kanna, but iirc that was our only hint before the announcement.

After years of lurking I finally got the courage to join...

OT: I don't know why people are:
A) Arguing over what it's called since it won't change nexon's decision anyway. Everyone knows that in the end you will just get used to the name and call it a day.
B) Getting all fussy about hypers versus content seeing as it's all opinionated on which holds more importance and really does not affect nexon's decision in the slightest.

While I do agree with you in that I would have liked to see some hypers get released first, you cannot call an entire class garbage just because YOU don't like it or are not interested. Many people are hyped for Kanna AND many don't think Hayato's Link is garbage. You can't just big-dog it then get upset when people find your posts unsettling. I mean... that's OBVIOUSLY the inevitable outcome.

Despite all this.... I'm kind of sad that there hasn't been more videos on Kanna, especially showcasing her quasi-meso explosion skill which imo looks very attractive. I do hope though that her hurricane-esque skill will not replace her main attacking skill because then that would just make it seem as if I'd have leveled it for no reason....

I agree about the lack of Kanna vids, it's kinda disappointing. I thought Shikage's videos were alright until he said that he hated Kanna and didn't want to do any more. Kanna does not seem as popular as Hayato for some reason. He looks quite hard to play in my opinion.

I'm like the only person in the English MS community that has really played Kanna to a major extent right now...so my BG and Zakum videos are just about all there is for that.

She can spam hers. Her SP regen beats out the cost of the ability over the time it takes to regen. It just sucks. It does less than her regular attack even at max level.
