False Banning Overturned

So I was randomly perma-banned not too long ago. Possibly during the same wave as the Empress bans (though I was not at empress. I was training a lumi for the link skill at Aliens 6)

I had already moved on and chose to dedicate myself to another game... so this doesn't help me much. But just wanted to let everyone know that there's hope for the rest of you (possibly).


I'd like to thank GM Zyniden for releasing my account.

The response to my ticket sure was interesting though:

If you got unbanned recently, you should wait for ranks to update.

They claim suspicious activities on your end. Maybe it's just that map.

I'm assuming its because there's TONS of lumi/kaisers hacking in that map. And I stayed there once I hit 100 because the 4th job chain lightning type skill was awesome there

So maybe seeing a lvl 115+ lumi not taking damage most of the time (though I did occasionally get hit) triggered a red flag for whatever GM was around the area.

Still though, you figured that they would've noticed that I was jumping on to ropes to buff and doing various other things that bots wouldn't normally do. Anyways, that's not the point of the thread.

Finally unbanned! BOOOYAAAAA. Took about 10 days but worth the wait =) Got the same exact copypasta that everyone got.

I got unbanned as well. Same response for GM Zinyden. Glad to hear that you guys are released as well and surprised that they responded faster than I expected. :]

Any friend of yours get permabanned? Ask around and see if those guys got unbanned or not.

There's absolutely no chance they're going to admit fault in their end. In a lot of fields that's like professional suicide (Not here, but the principle is the same).

That's the generic reply they always give. "Hey your totally a filthy no good hacker but I guess we can give you another chance."

Some hackers that were perma banned have had their bans lifted.

I was reading this thread, all happy that people are getting unbanned and enjoying the game again, faith has been returned in Nexon....

ya few of my bl friend that is hacker also got unperm banned.....

so i guess nexon decide to this way
since ... if they was to do that way half of the legit ppl would get perm banned
so instead doing this way
legit + hacker come back is better than ban both legit and hacker

so nexon has 2 option

1 is to perm ban some legit and some hacker
2 is to unperm ban some legit and hacker

since u guy keep complaining it is to better than have hacker + legit player to come back instead of being banned on both side

Or they can actually train their GMs to actually tell the difference between a hacker and a legit....wait nope that would take too much resources.

They could start by banning players for legitimate reasons rather than hunches with abnormalities with the data. ya know, actually have evidence. Or do you want to concede the nexon bans hackers and unperm's them, thus in error, cannot decided, with any intelligence if they are offenders or not?
