KMST 1.2.472 - Wind Archer (II), BGMs

I can understand that the Black Mage would use black magic, but what was the deal with him and Alchemy? he founded Magatia right? I can't really remember the story behind that. As a transcendant of light, alchemy seems like it would be quite... below him. Unless alchemy was used to grant eternal life.

Anyone remember the story about that?

Well alchemy is used by the Alcadno and the Zenumist to attempt to create life. I assume the Black Mage transcended their shi'tty androids.

I'm pretty sure the Black Mage just studied magic in all of its forms. Light, Dark, Alchemical, etc. He wanted power, so who's to say he didn't look for it everywhere there was to search?

Or it could just be a super-villain recruitment bluff. He ordered a hit on Demon's family, i'm pretty sure he isn't above lying about gifts of eternal life and infinite knowledge.

He promised eternal youth to Hilla and she got it. That's as far as fulfilled promisses as I remember. There's also Magnus, IDK his story but I presume he joined the BM so this'd back him up on conquering Ellysium, since he succeded it might be safe to assume the BM carried out his promise.

The name of the file indicates that it is somebody's dream. But who is this person? I don't know either.
The Black Mage speaks during this cutscene I believe and he says the following lines:

”You have an interesting talent.”

”Of course not. You stumbled into my consciousness by accident. ”

”Come to me. Eternal life, infinite knowledge… Whatever you wish, I have it for you.”

So this possibly could be one of these Half-dreams? Silmiar to Evan's starting Dream, it is a dream, but they TALK in telepathy, or in facts, to each other in some way.
A great talent... points to another important character. And this proves one thing...
The Black Mage is still sealed, but he is concious. Maybe he wants to trick that person into joining the Commanders, so he could be unsealed. That means that the Black Mage could still make new commanders.
If this is a Half-dream. Otherwise, it's just some Nightmare.

yes, it was indeed arkarium's own doing. He hated Demon Slayer because the Black Mage preferred him over Arkarium.

I don't think it's ever actually explained, but I think what happened was after getting beaten by the former Kaiser, he fled to the Maple World through the gate, then whored himself out to the Black Mage because he's the local dark overlord.

But as soon as he had an opportunity, he killed Guwaru, stole his powers, then took off. Because that's all Magnus ever wanted: Power.

Apparently, he felt that Darmoor would give him more than the Black Mage, who might have won if Magnus kept his promise to kill Luminous' friends instead of fleeing back to Grandis.

Also, Black Mage should have spoken up when Demon Slayer questioned him.

It might have actually been the Black Mage, seeing his new favorite and possible strongest commander is Demon Slayer very own brother.

Damian kills his mother, joins the black mage, and goes to capture the World Tree while the battle of the heroes and the black mage happens. That seems more possible than Arkairum doing it on his own, he is a coward.

I'm absolutely ecstatic that they're finally giving us content....but can it be any more depressing (gameplay wise, not story wise)? I mean...the mobs aren't even the OLD max level yet and they give pathetic EXP to compensate for their extremely high level. 190 mobs giving only 10k EXP? This 250 max thing makes me more annoyed about this game than before, because they don't even try to make it a feasible goal.

Yes, yes, you are all welcome to go after me for me never being happy, but really, I was pumped to see some new content, and then it doesn't even compare to the other core changes they've been making or remotely balance out.

I have a feeling they'll work on this more. I really can't see Nexon giving us a 190-200 area with pathetic HP:EXP ratio, and not do anything else about it. It makes no sense to release an already useless area.

Clearly you weren't around for Omega Sector release. It was dead within a week because it's completely useless. 90% of future heny was useless on release as well

As much as I would like it as well, I doubt they would considering how extremely high level the PQ would be. Kind of cuts out a LOT of the playerbase. Not really a "guild" activity when you need to be over level 180 to even get in there.
