Unscheduled Maintenance - February 7, 2013

well, I guess I'm staying up late just to do the attendance event.

This. Why, why didn't I finish it before hand? I was too busy doing RLHS and now I am regretting it.

[Update] The maintenance has been extended by two hours while we investigate more issues. The expected end time is 11:00 PM Pacific (2:00 AM Eastern).

We will be performing an unscheduled maintenance on February 7, 2013. It will last approximately 2 hours.

What will be unavailable:

• All MapleStory game servers.

• An exploit with the Everyday HappyTime event has been blocked.
  
• We will be gathering data and investigating some other issues.
  

Oh well. I guess it's back to setting up a shop all day and farming Contribution.

I'm guessing some of them are not fully functional atm since there are fewer unfunded Kaiser bots doing full empress atm. Good riddance. They still get the same dojo times though so I guess nodelay and stackfocus is still there.

It looked like servers were about to go up and now all channels down again.. Wouldn't shock me if Nexon just read this thread about the cube/maple points exploit and they're like, wait there's a cube/maple points exploit too??? Let's shut it down again, we fucked up.

They made this maintenance solely for the Happy Time event.
But reading this thread, or maybe similar threads elsewhere, brought the other, far more serious, exploits/hacks to their attention.
So, they are "investigating". Better late than never, I suppose?
I get the feeling the game will stay down for longer than 2 more hours.

Isn't it just sad that their players know WAY more about seriously damaging exploits for an entire day and they don't even catch wind of it until it's brought up because of another issue?

That's why they should actually go through their tickets, or read any of the fan forums that they support.
