Not sure if I should get the Cerberus Sword or the Ancient from Honest Ed's Shop... Monocle

Just stick with green/blues and spam master mode (at least hard). Get to 50 before worrying about your gear. Just get enough to live meaning +6 green/blues.
Found this in my DN folder.
Thought this was a funny glitch.

I will not buy a costume for my cleric until I can make it look like Batman

Nope. The only things in which enhancements/potential disappears is when you're trying to craft something into a completely different item, not just adding a suffix. So far, there are only two instances in which that will happen:
1: Crafting technique accessories (which is why people only use junk accessories like Knightly, Stunning, etc. rather than Wise, Vital, Windswept)
2: Crafting SDN Unique gear into GDN Unique gear (something we don't have yet)

And yeah, leveling as a Swordsman is really tough, the devs nerfed their early PvE damage output quite a bit about half a year ago. They're a late bloomer class now, and by that I mean Level 60 cap.

Even tougher now that the equip drop tables in standard dungeons have been utterly neutered. There's still no word on whether or not this drop table change was even intentional. All notes indicate that only white-rank equipment (Normal) were supposed to be removed, not green-rank (Magic) equips along with onyx drop rates being lowered to almost non-existent...

Ah, gotcha! Makes sense now =)

And darn D= I mean, I knew my Swordsman wasn't going to even touch my Pally's survive-ability, but now that you've mentioned that nerf, it does seem to me that my Pally outshines my Swordsman in damage, too. =T But I'll just tough it out, I'm liking the dual-physical/magic skills on him and the range from where I can hit.

I really hope it was unintentional. I was wondering why the blues weren't dropping for me in ACL D=
Btw, should I just spam Hard-mode BSD until 32? o.o

I personally find doing the main quest line and stacking every available quest is the fastest way to 40.
From what I hear, I'm at the bare minimum for GDN stat-wise:

[Image: DragonNest2013-02-0420-04-15-60_zps1e91be50.png]

I took this with 1) An expired pet and 2) Before I finished my 2nd suffixes. I finished my hat an hr after taking the SS, and just have my shoes left. All of my armor is +6 so my HP has room to grow, and I have yet to win a roll on a level 50 crest, useful or not, so that also leaves a lot of room for growth.
Why are the pvp servers so crappy. I can't play a ladder match without my opponents appearing/disappearing >.>

You want more hp to be safe.

PvP servers have been crappy since the server merge in September, unfortunately. I've pretty much given up on 1 VS 1 Priest PvP at the moment for that very reason. Considering that Priests are one of, if not the toughest class to combo with (along with the fact that we have the crappiest evasion skills), all it takes is for someone to lag through one or two of my attacks to completely screw me over.

Also, you may want to upgrade your accessories, JP. You can at least use a crude stamp to sell that Cerberus ring.

dat cleartime

Also I hope the devs see this video

Yeah, 8 hour clear time. Although I heard that 5 of those hours were spent discussing strategy and taking breaks for eating. Still a hell of an accomplishment. Apparently they only got two equips from it all, probably a sign that the devs didn't expect anyone to beat DDN this soon.

In other news, we may be getting two more slots on our skill bar, increasing the amount of skills we can place in our hotkeys by 4.

Also, looks like we're getting a THIRD EX skill for 60 cap. It's for the skill before our Ultimates... We know nothing beyond that, though. Guessing the devs are taking the 'master the basic skills before specializing in new skills' approach, saving all the new skills for 70 cap.

I really hope Gravity Ascension EX will be useful, but then I look at what they did with Black Hole EX and cry.

It has to be completely game breaking then maybe chaos mages stand a chance against war mages. Right now there is currently no reason to make a chaos mage unless you like the class since war mages do everything better and aren't screwed over by bosses as much.
I just started playing this game again.
I have a 45 Destroyer I got from the jump event, and a 42 to be gearmaster... Game just isn't what it used to be to me... And I got left behind =x

Yeah, as of the last patch, leveling alts is a pain now. Normal/Magic gear stopped dropping, so you have to do quests and use quest gear as you level up if you can't afford the old gear in the marketplace. Onyx drop rates tanked like hell too.

However, it seems to have REALLY hurt gold bots. You hardly see any in town anymore, although part of that might be due to the fact that you can repair in fields now. Chances are the bots are losing gold rather than farming any though, especially since they don't do quests and the bots can't upgrade their gear as a result.

[SPOILER=Hey, Priests don't need Strength, let's use that one diamond spark picked up from daily runs to respark this ring. See if we can replace it with Intellect...]
And thus I got a 0.02% chance spark. I've learned by now that my luck is either absolutely terrible (like going broke last week from enhancing my wand, 700g per enhance attempt, failing 10 times in a row from 9 -> 10 on a 33.3% chance) or absolutely amazing.

Final stats before GDN.

[Image: DN2013-02-1110-57-08Mon_zps77b6831f.png]

- 60% crit rate
- 17% Light Attack (not pictured)
- 50% Phys damage reduction
- 71% Magic damage reduction

I might look like I spend a lot of money on this game, but I really don't. I just play quite a lot. I self-farm most of my stuff, and my luck has been described as above average overall. ._.

It's not that surprising to learn you don't spend money on the game when people realize this is DN and not maple. The ecnomies and difficulty to self farm money are completely opposite.

Btw, anyone have a source where people compare "dps" rankings?
Kaasoljoyyx Wrote:Btw, anyone have a source where people compare "dps" rankings?

Most people just use the 'Post Your Stats' threads on the Nexon forums, stickied in the class sections. The DN Nexon forums are actually relatively calm, so long as you stray far from the General and PvP sections.

In general, I think you're considered well off if you have some combination of...

Engineers, Archers, and War Mages:
- 120k+ HP
- 8k+ attack/7k+ Magic Attack (Warden)
- 70-89% crit rate
- 800+ FD

Alchemists, Elementalists, and Mystics:
- 120k+ HP
- 6k+ attack
- 40+% fire or ice damage (60%+ dark for Mystics) and/or 800+ FD
- 50+% crit rate

Warriors:
- 140k+ HP
- 8k+ physical attack/7k+ magic attack (Lunar Knights)
- 800+ FD
- 60+% crit rate

Paladins:
- 170k+ HP
- 7.5k+ Phys damage (Guardian)/6k+ Magic Damage (Crusader)
- 40+% Light Damage (Crusader)
- 70%+ Phys and Magic Defense
- 40+% crit rate
- 500+ FD

Priests:
- 140k+ HP
- 6k+ Magic Damage (Inquisitor)/8k+ Magic Damage (Saint)
- 40+% Light Damage and/or 500+ FD (both Inquisitor, Saints have no buisness building FD due to the support nature of our skills calling for technique accessories and higher raw magic damage)
- 40+% crit rate

All these are before buffs. Final Damage can be ignored in favor of building much higher raw attack power/elemental damage/critical, and vice/versa. As you can see, there's a lot of ways the elemental classes can go about gearing their characters.

Myself, I chose to focus on raw magic damage and critical hit rate. Everything else is like... On the side. I'm thinking I'm somewhere in the top 10 of most geared Saints in NA. I'll share my exact setup:

 Saint Gear Setup
Not exactly what I was looking for. For example in maple, Xenon, AB, kaiser, marksman are top tier DPS while classes like DrK, paladin, bowmaster are lower tier.

I believe it's something like GM, artillery, SS, pyro are top tier dps. I was wondering if there was a source on how people are ranking them and what's considered #1 dps under X conditions, etc etc
Oh. I think this community judges DPS rankings based on what people from the versions ahead of us say.

I think the current consensus (for 60 cap) is something this:

 Spoiler

At 50 cap, from personal experience, it seems as if it's more like this:

 Spoiler

These charts are assuming sustained DPS. In most situations, DPS is more burst-like in nature, so the DPS gap isn't quite so massive.

Even as a Saint, I find myself pulling enemy aggro a lot in nest runs, because all of my damage is front-loaded into four skills: Righteous Bolt (averages 15-30k x 4-8), Chain Lightning (averages 50-150k x3), Holy Burst (averages 20-40k x 5), and Relic Reaction (averages 40-100k per relic). Chain Lightning and Holy Burst in particular have massive AoE to the point where I'm pretty much a walking nuke that wipes out everything that isn't a boss in a 5-10 meter radius with a press of a button.

For the elemental classes, the charts are not taking into account enemy elemental defense, of which Desert Dragon Nest has universal 50%+ elemental defense on just about everything.

This game isn't so much a DPS game, though. A lot of classes have varying support options that makes certain party setups preferred over others.
