Did i ever tell you the definition of insanity?

I read the comic and laughed a little inside.

For you guys that are taking this seriously, you should seriously sort out your priorities. The game is meant for parents to keep their children from talking too much when they can't sit the eff down. ffs, it's pokemon lol.

But the thing is, I still don't know where is the humour coming from in this comic.

The only reason why it's funny to me is because if you've played Pokemon, you would know the concept of the game has never changed since the beginning of it's release in the 90's. The comic is taking this point and defining it with insanity.
If you really think about it, it's a little crazy that the same people, who have been playing this game for over 10-15 years, go nuts for Pokemon games when you're basically doing the same thing over and over again. That's insane.

There are a LOT of franchises that repeat the same thing over and over because it works and keeps selling well. It's not insanity, but rather "If it aint broken, dont' fix it".

You're assuming these people are expecting change though, they buy the game because the core elements that they love so much haven't changed which is the draw and why anyone plays pokemon at all nowadays.

The joke itself is funny. Pokémon (or any other videogame franchise for that matter) doesn't really fit though, for various reasons already mentioned. I'd like to see a version with politicians though.

The real kicker is that when they change the formula, pomegranate goes down and everyone cries about it. Also, I can't believe they resisted a call of duty joke.
