No one in GMS even bothers with C-2/Pirates2 anymore with Aliens being available..
Based on the EXP of the two Knights I think they are referring to HoH there. :f6: It also appears to be only a sample and do keep in mind that not everyone of us plays GMS.

Official Knight A:

Official Knight B:

These are from the first map of KSH, not HoH.

No, the two knights in question are Official A and B. Those are the ones in Drill Halls 1 and 2.
HoH has all 5 flavors of Advanced Knight.

My bad. This appears to only be preliminary so I wouldn't exclude the possibility of other areas being nerfed just yet but then again this is never going to get the chance to affect me.

I'm guessing they'll be adding one crazy new mob that requires you to be in a party to give crazy exp and everything will remain the way it is.
I wouldn't mind grinds and slow leveling... what bothers me is that I must do it in the same pineappleing place forever. That's one reason why I got stuck at 186... it's just too pineappleing boring to kill the same things over and over and over again. And that's not the only problem: you're forced to party if you want to level at a decent rate.
They won't add new maps or new mobs that anyone can solo, and if they did it would be stupid and pointless: hackers will ruin whatever new content is soloable. Like they did with Future Henesys and who knows what else.
I'd be insane or extremely bored if I ever attempted to get 250 with nerfed EXP rates in awful maps (Main reason why I haven't hit 200 yet): Spamming 1 awful button pineappleing forever in an awful map annoys the crap out of me. If I'm going to grind it must be fun and rewarding.

Guess who's stuck with MPSH and all the PQs from 174-200? And yet I'm doing this because this is the best time (Free 1.5 EXP coupons every day) and I'd regret it if I change my mind afterwards.

I was thinking about Maple Leaf High or whatever the name of that thing is... If it ever comes back I might get 200 while doing it. And I'll regret spending money on that.
It bothers me... I'm not a fan of stupid f2p systems. And I hate myself for ever trying Maple...

Not true. I train in both those areas, and I certainly am not the only one; they are often quite busy during 2x times.
I have never trained at Aliens, and never will due to the frequent reports of undeserved autobans from people trying to train there.
I rarely train at LHC, and last time I tried to train at drill hall in a party, I got banned for a month after lagging.
So, yeah, the alternative solo-training areas are important to some of us, and seeing them all get nerfed is giving me yet another reason to give up on this game.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't ONLY those six monsters that were nerfed, but I also haven't looked at recent extractions due to fear of being disgusted.
Even if it was, just because they only nerfed six monsters doesn't mean a massive EXP nerf isn't in the works. For all we know those six monsters got changed prematurely and someone just got fired for making that mistake.

IGN: I don't play MS
Polantaris Wrote:I don't mean to direct this at you, but you're the most recent post that said this that I've noticed.
I don't want to be an pimento, but I'm really sick and tired of people blaming GMS's pineappleed up EXP issues on MS as a whole. No other version still has party play LHC(unless it's that far behind on updates), and at least half of Stronghold isn't either in most versions anymore. No other version has broken Aliens, except maybe CMS (or whatever version it was that got new LHC), and it's possible they don't have the same EXP issues. Most versions don't even have EXP cards anymore, even JMS re-got rid of them.
It's really quite annoying to constantly see people blame the entire game, all versions included, for GMS's problems, then acting like these EXP changes are the best thing to ever happen because of GMS's pineapple ups. Other versions are going to become terrible because of this. Meanwhile, I wouldn't be surprised if GMS does something to make matters worse on their hands and make it, once again, too easy to get high levels in comparison to other versions.
I'm sorry but making a higher cap AND reducing EXP gain is the worst couple of ideas I've seen from Nexon in a very long time. Just when I thought they were trying to make the game less grindy, and actually finally start to work towards giving us some real content, LOLNOPE. Instead the game becomes a hundred fold more annoying and grindy. How is this a welcome change? I just do not understand it in the least.
It's the classic NERF TO THE GROUND so they have room to buff you later.

I just want job advancements to feel like achievements.
Remember when going Beginner -> 1st job felt like an achievement?
Killing all these things on Maple Island until you could finally take off to Victoria.
Now it's done in a 4 minute tutorial.
Some classes even start at level 10.
Remember when 1st job -> 2nd job felt like an achievement?
People would even compare 1st job mobbing skills between classes.
Somersault Kick hits 6 mobs, sweet!, but shucks, Magic Claw was single-target (I know they fixed this now).
You would actually have enough time between levels to take a break, go back to the city and buy new armors and weapons!
OMG, I'm level 20, now I can go buy level 20 equips to the town shop.
Now you get to level 30 in a breeze, on Golems, with your tutorial weapons and starting clothes.
Remember when getting to 3rd job felt like an achievement?
By then, probably you'd have gone through the hardship of finding a Zakum expedition to roll in, and get the awesome Zakum Helmet for damage and acc!
Now it's no problem getting to 70 using no hat. I've done it.
Level 70 meant you could get a sweet mount, to travel faster than ever!
Now everyone has Flash Jump at first job, and mounts are fashion accessories, most of them cash.
3rd jobbers were recoginized, and it meant a great improvement over your skills, which unlocked new possibilities.
Now the gap between jobs isn't that different. I was training at Jesters at 50, and I was training still at Jesters at 75.
Or just change Jesters to Sand Rabbits.
Remember also when getting to level 100 was an achievement?
People would use smegas to congratulate their friends on triple digits!
Now, 4th job.
With no party play areas it meant a ridiculous amount of grinding. I first got to 4th job back at skeles. I admit it was a bit too much of a pain back then.
But now it means NOTHING!
It could have used some adjustments, but NOT going from months and months of work to get to 4th job, to be able to do it in 19 hours, or for more casual people, in 2-5 days.
The game right now feels rushed.
You rush through everything to 4th job. And then you're welcome to be annoyed by Mastery Books, people 30 levels below you with triple the damage thanks to potential, and the inability to kill any important bosses without lots of funding or knowing people, people you didn't meet on your way to 4th job because it all happened in a heartbeat.
tl;dr The game was very hard, Nexon made it very easy

^ There's better ways to accomplish that than to make levelling up hard in a manner that looks bothersome instead of making sure there's content to explore all the way to level 250. Certainly, two wrongs do not make a right.

Precisely, having content to explore "all the way" to 250 would mean escalating that content to fit the game progress.
We have these 3 theme dungeons:
Mushroom Kingdom
Kerning Square
Chryse
Sweet content, right?
Not really.
Grinding will level you past that content so fast, that it won't be important anymore when you're level 60, 70, or 120. Because no level 70 will say "Hey, how about going to Mushroom Kingdom to explore the level 30 content?".

Strange Cubes don't blow up but yeah they can downgrade the tier, and they only go up to Epic. But they're still fine for people that don't buy NX, you can just quickly go fight Zakum, party for Horntail, or do any of the Root Abyss normal modes for your cubes. And the only boss that drops a pet is Hilla (including normal mode), who is still easy to fight, you'll just need 2-6 people depending on your funding, as compared to being able to solo her before Unlimited.

I've done all of those multiple times and I'd have to disagree because it's the same old thing once you've done it once and furthermore Chryse has a lot of what I would term filler quests which isn't fun for anyone. Note also that levelling up would still be far too easy during those levels so if at anything Nexon needs to work on good, long-lasting high level content and not screw it up after they make it (Remember PvP?). More areas like Root Abyss would be simply fantastic since re-visiting it gives you things to do, the bosses are worth fighting and you might even go there to find the occasional merchants while most of what we term as content now is only good for a look-see and some EXP before being dumped, simply because there's little reason to go back.

No. They'd say 'Hey, how about going to Sakura Castle to explore level 70 content?' They also have Heliseum, Root Abyss, Golden Temple, and Neo City to explore later (and Time Temple, if it counts).
The game's not that limited.

Give me my old (Pre-CTF) PvP back, without entrance limits while still giving nice EXP, even to higher levels.
Also, something to note that I'm pretty sure that although the game has changed, you have changed more.
My first character that I got past level 43, was a character that trained slowly (VERY slowly), but that I liked the playing style of. I did almost everything available to me: questlines, party quests, normal grinding. This is counted from Big Bang to Chaos. I didn't mind training slowly, I didn't know better.
Today I was training my recently created UA Paladin (which has barely changed) and, because of a guildie's suggestion, I went to sand rats. And the nemories came up. Mainly from how it was almost impossible to train there before 70. Now I was going there at 57. And I realised that the only thing that has changed between then and now is my mentality, and the whole maple community's mentality as well.
I'm more impatient now, and we all are.
