Level 200 to 250 Exp Table
#41
XxSilencer Wrote:Just be glad it's not like La Tale's EXP.

4,908,928,045,222 is at level 199 and IDK what % that is but Ben has been 199 for like a year. Grinding for a couple hours only gets you 0.01%.

You need to put a qualifier next to that; grinding on 1100% EXP buff for a couple hours gets you about 0.01%. I'm still proud of myself that I made it to 187 with no exp steroids, it's nowhere near as easy when you do it that way, especially on xbow TH, which is essentially lowest tier until 150+, especially unfunded...I hate that game so much.

But hey, at least it's not D2 classic exp rates! Apparently, someone calculated it out that it would take over 200 years of 24/7 grinding just for 98-99 in D2C. Just imagine, someone dying to Iron Maiden and watching their entire actual lifetime's worth of exp disappear. Almost worse to NOT play on HC mode, at that point.

My Ideal dream would be for them to introduce fairly long quest chains that at the end of which give exp potions (Let's say 25%) and those quest involve going back and doing low level daily quest from other areas of maple world (randomly chosen) and once a week you can do a special quest chain that gives you a 50-100% exp potion! It would be a great alternative to allow the "Casual Gamer" to be able to hit the cap in a not too quick but not too slow amount of time! Glitter Oh how I dream of quest worth doing in this game.

Ugh, dailies/weeklies in Maplestory? No fucking thank you.

What is Hellsium Dailies and Daily Root Abyss Quests.

Or my daily Azwan or Crusader Coin farming. If it isn't obnoxious or in that particular example limited to mandating the finishing of the long chain in one day (more than 1.5 hours), I see no problem in it. A lot of things in the game are dailies, check your FM store, do some mining, events; if it doesn't require 2, 3, 4 hour blocks of my day, I'm good with it. Oh, lest we forget the best daily around, when it was around, RLHS.

I don't do either. The concept of having dailies that will get you levels is what I dislike, not necessarily getting item-based rewards.

The players that do boss runs every day are some of the strongest and richest players in the game.
If you're too lazy to do a few quests every day, then that's your problem.

Back then in LHC (...after bleve hit 200 (jokes...maybe ㄱ ㄱWink), me and my party would have skype up chatting, I would have 10-1 hour long YouTube videos of various games such as, Final Fantasy, Mega Man, Final Fantasy Tactics, Kingdom Hearts, etc, playing (I made a playlist of 100+ songs), I would be setting up water and a couple of munchies when I get hungry and play for about 4-7 hours during a weekend. Then we would go pq for another hour. It felt great because despite the lack of xp I was getting compared to the other people in the party, I didn't care. We had fun, shared a few laughs and gained about half of a level. I wasn't too serious to being the "best" in the game nor did I care. All I did back then was train until I hit 200. (older players probably had it harder to level but I'm guessing they did similar things back then...again, I don't know them that well but I'm just taking a guess that they did)

Fast forward 8 months later and I realized I was too focused on improving my equips, worried about how I should improve at bossing and wanting to be "above average" in the game. This increase of level....the 250 cap....the who knows how many trillions of xp we would need to gain 50 levels. It kinda makes me excited because I get to do what I used to do about a year ago.

Now, a part of me doesn't like it because I don't even know what reward will be gained once someone hits 250...nor do I know what we gain per level. I would probably stop at around 210, if not less, if nothing really happens when you hit 250 or gain something per level. Sure I would be training with my friends again but I would have a feeling they would get bored as well. And I've been lazy to think about training other characters (even with that lv 2 link skill comin to gms soon) for a while but I hope there's that old routine I used to do whenever I have time to train for a long period of time. All I can say is I'm neither "yay" or "nay" about this announcement but neutral. Although, it did get me a bit curious to see how they will implement this change.

(I do like to add that I have tried other classes before but I like my drk to a point where that is probably the only class I would want to play past lv 150 so...yeah...)

According to Excel, the exp to get from 200-250 is 640,779,078,239.

Have fun you guys.

Which is equivalent to "Level Capping" 33.23 times Wink

Challenge still accepted!

I wish they would make you not lose exp when dying past 200. With that req exp losing a few % is already a big loss.

I would prefer to be able to do root abyss without the fear of losing over a billion in exp.

For this, we have this nice little Cash Shop item...

This is really a poor perspective to look at things. Look at your exp/hr and %/hr at level 109. Then look at it once you hit 110. It skyrockets.

Another way to look at it is say killing the level 184 warrior at HoH with HS and a party of 6. Say it's 1mil exp. That's like level 1~40 or something (still going to prove my point) or basically 40 levels you gained by killing 1 mob. But it isn't really 40 levels.

For all we know the new root abyss area is party play and is x3 the exp of HoH mobs. That 640bil exp is a lot less daunting if you think of it that way. My main point is as you gain levels and go to new areas, the new monsters usually reflect that and keep the %/hour bearable. It's one of the main reasons why leveling is easier now than 3 years ago. Before they had grims/himes giving 3k exp a kill. Now we have HoH mobs that can give x80 that exp value (x1~ exp values).

This is very true, but it doesn't change the fact that the total EXP from 200 -> 250 still totals to "Level Capping" from 1 -> 200 33.23 times. I never said it was going to take as long to get the same equivalent EXP in relatively the same timeframe.

Hell, this applies to today's Maple in where Level 199 -> 200 is essentially going from 1 -> 154. If, for example, it took me 2 hours to go from 199 -> 200, it doesn't mean I should be able to go from 1 -> 154 within the same timeframe. It just doesn't work like that, because monster EXP differs at higher levels.

It seems these tables are now wrong. In today's KMST update, it is now possible to exceed level 200 from the Buddy List Admin in Lith Harbor.

http://uniuni0216.blog106.fc2.com/blog-entry-2049.html

"In the KMST 1.2.469 update, it was made possible to level up to 201 by talking to Lith Harbor's Mr. Goldstein.
 Level 200 → Level 201 : 2,207,026,470
 Level 201 → Level 202 : 2,648,431,764
Knowing that, the rate has been confirmed as 1.2x.
There's a possibility it'll change between level 202 and 250,
but if we use the 1.2x rate all the way to 250,
the experience required will be as following."

WAIT WHAT? 16 TRILLION? Please tell me I'm seeing things.

-snip-

WAIT WHAT? 16 TRILLION? Please tell me I'm seeing things.

Two possibilities:

A) Leveling to 250 will be as impossible as leveling to 200 was pre 3rd-job. Or maybe only as hard as it was pre-BB. People will be leaving for private servers in droves. Isn't that what BB was supposed to cure? Didn't Nexon decide Maple needed to appeal to the masses, not just the grind-addicts?

B) The new "high level content" will include areas/bosses/quests that give mad experience. Then everybody who's 200 (or close to it) now, will be 250 in 2-3 months, and whining again about the lack of content and being bored.

So, umm... what, exactly, does this new level cap solve?
#59
Uhhh. B> More confirmation on this. pomegranate just got fucking REAL. God damn.
#60
Well, 200 looks nicer than 250 anyway.
