According to the plot post and common sense, there should be one mafian left so let's aim to get a perfect game shall we?

From my point of view, if the mafia finds out that there are lovers in a game, they wait until the end to find out and eliminate them because they have a revenge kill. Targeting it beforehand isn't fair for them. Think about it from a flavour standpoint, too. Why would a lover prepare a homicide before they're filled with grief and desire to get revenge?

I can understand it from that point of view, however two things:
1) That was never explained. Not once. Not when I was given my role, not when I sent in the first PM, not in the second, it was NEVER explained.
2) How could I know that it wouldn't have been a "Well you were strolling around on the street and then you notice...THE BODY OF YOUR LOVER! In your rage, you kill [whoever]!"

It wasn't explained that it was meant to be an after-death action. The way I had seen it was that if I didn't give a target, I would have lost the ability if my lover were to be killed that night.

Ample explanation of the rules are required, especially when you're the host. You should never expect that everyone knows everything, especially when myself and others have said multiple times that we have never played mafia before, or it's our second/third game. It should not be expected that we know how every power in the massive amount of possible powers works. You certainly shouldn't be punished WITHOUT WARNING, either.
