That tactic is kinda suicidal, Rush has this tendency to move the character right up to the face of the monster, it always runs back towards me and if I'm standing close enough to hit him, I get hit in return by touch damage (It works ok for training because I'm generally using Rush on mobs I haven't attacked yet, or that are stunned). I tried rush at first but it always ended in death.

Brandish has about... 1.5 the range of ACB? I'm not certain. It's noticeably better.


I haven't done Pianus in a while, but I always killed off the Blood Booms with Powerguard to stop them from attacking when I got dispelled (dispel = no charge = powerstrike does 5-10k on bombs). Shouldn't your Strafe be able to manage 10k consistently by 14x though? :/ Even if only 1 arrow hit a crit it would be enough.


@ 11x my DPM would have been around 900-950k on Pianus if I could attack consistently (he uses def up a pomegranateton so probably less than half that in reality). Not sure what it is now.
edit: looks to be about 1.5mil per minute. Pretty decent boost I guess.

13X, my DPM was a little under 1.5m. strafe isn't the issue - mortal blow is. strafe can ohko them easy, MB WILL kill me until my minimum range is just over 4100... which is at late 16X's lol. problem is, MB is passive so i need to look out for that evil summon symbol religiously.

What I'm surprised about is why the patch is so LATE!

Besides, I think the earliest a xmas event ever was would have been this/last week [dec 9th ish]. A lot of people have finals/end of school stuff to take care of and can't even play at that time. However, most people finish their stuff next week so the patch is like a reward/something to look forward to.

Paladins and Heros solo BF well, if there is another person attacking/KSing then they tend to fail unless they can kill them off with Rush.

Brandish with a Two handed sword is the the same speed as being able to attack and not even miss because of the messed up KB. It will be hitable by the time you do your 2nd brandish

i meant that it takes me like 20mins still to kill the left one, and a 110 wk can probably match that speed. i've got 30 levels and 4th job on it, too...

Without apples, it takes my paladin (128) 20-30 minutes to kill a pianus depending on frequency of def up.

Blah, I over leveled on pirate to 89, since Magatia pq is only for level 71-85. Also Horus Eye is untradeable according to maplewiki =[. Is there any other way to get Horus Eye, or is it just like Pirate hat from PPQ?

I'm level 84 waiting for the next patch, but for some reason I doubt they will release the PQ.

They may, they may not. Either way, Magatia is very important to Maple's Story.

The Alchemist has many ties that signify a relation to the Black Magician, but nothing is certain. The Black Magician is from Magatia, though.

The way I interpret it is that the CWK 2 quests will make reference to what you learn from the Magatia quests. Rather than changing Magatia to reference Masteria, but who knows. We’ll soon see.

Anywho, I want to train my bandit in Magatia. If it's too crowded, then I can just go to Sakuras which will probably be dead except for meso farmers. Win-win situation.

It's Christmas. It always spouts that, "good will and cheer and love!" ideal and it's always been gay, but we do it anyways. It's no reason not to enjoy it.

But if that Ice Throne Chair IS the reward for the Christmas PQ we're getting, I am so getting it. That thing is incredible looking.

All I can say is that I can't wait for Magatia and that I can't wait for repetitive Christmas events. Oh, and of course to see what 2009 holds for us. *coughepicallyawesomeCrimsonwoodKeepPart2andmorepartsofNLCcough*

I said that's my guess. I don't know if that's what will happen or not. that's what I'm expecting from Nexon's typical treatment of such things.

Expect to see some interesting data dumped into our client. It has been a while since they've done a "KMS(T)" to GMS copy. Also, this is an Ossyria update, so it's only wise to.

We all thought Magatia would be the last one too, but then they went and added Time Temple.

Yeah though, for the moment we almost have all of Ossyria. Though don't count on getting Time Temple any time soon. >_>

They're going to add a monster that is impossible to kill instead of Pink Been.
