31/1 - Characters' max level is increased to 250!
How did anyone not see this coming?
Loads of extra sp at 4th job
Bosses becoming incredibly difficult, basically impossible for the majority of players
200 becoming easier and easier
Higher damage cap
Higher hp/mp cap
Earlier job advancements...

It sucks that rankings and personal goals will be switched drastically. But I'd exchange these any day for more content and skills.
I personally like the idea of getting more than fourth job skills to use after years of them being top tier. (Excluding the couple hypers)
I like this a hell of a lot more than I like getting 50 more classes to have to play to link or card my main. Now I can actually stay on my main to improve my main. Seems great to me.

I guess I should have seen it coming... but I am not looking forward to this. My post would be more rage-filled if I wasn't about to head to class.

Curtiss Wrote:*Face in hands* I don't know what to recommend for a new name but that would be a horrid choice for a name that's already terribly uncreative.

I already sobbed deeply at the 4th job name revealings when I was a Ranger, I don't need to be saddened any further. ;_;

I have mixed feelings about this, as a lvl 200 aran, I love Aran and grinding with it a bit more is cool because the option of 5th job would make aran appealing again power wise. The problem is that 190-200 was horrible enough, unlike other classes that maintain pressed one button to attack we have to press it an insane amount faster also the combinations which really aren't a problem at lvl 190+, So my hands will hurt a lot. I really want them to fix somethings for Aran, because we are supposed to be a class that is constantly attacking and DR is a big slap in the face to us, the Combo system is obsolete as it is (something like Xenon's system would be better). They need to change other jobs like DrK too, they are practically left behind by other warriors.

And given how predictable Nexon is sometimes I would expect the new name to be 'Master Archer' or something absurd. Tongue

Ehh...taking some liberties with the naming and stuff.

Hero - Einherjar
Dark Knight - Destroyer
Paladin - Templar
F/P Archmage - F/P Archsage
I/L Archmage - F/P Archsage
Bishop - Archbishop
(or something angel/god-related)
Bowmaster - Zephyr
Marksman - Sharpshooter/Trueshot

...anything else is a little difficult to decide...

Destroyer?

Isn't he Batman already?

All jokes aside, that's exactly what needs to happen.

I really hope this is fake. Where's that image from?

If true...
How about they do it the other way round?

First give us the high level content. Show us new areas with new mobs we can barely hit. Give us bosses that we can't kill, and not just because they have 9000 different ways to 1hko (oh, and block hacks while you're at it). Give us fifth job that goes 170-200, so we can taste the new skills and they can balance them (lol).
Then you can raise the max level.

Doing this thing piecemeal, giving some jobs their fifth advancement long before other jobs get it, gives them an unfair advantage in the race to 250.

And yeah, I do hope they keep a copy of the old Rankings (and oh yeah, they do need to fix them first...). Those people who made 200 back when it was a real challenge, don't deserve to have their achievement totally wiped out.

Why are people complaining? Weren't you guys saying there is nothing to do in the game past 180 ish? Well, now there is. They said high level content is coming. 5th job seems obvious now, and that's always a motivator for leveling. New areas with big wuest lines and hard bosses is so much better than new classes.

I think it's general scepticism considering how long we've been waiting for high-level content. Specifically, while I do believe they'll give good and solid reasons for raising the cap this should have been done ages ago if they had wanted to do so, levels 200 to 250 is a very huge gap unless they come up with really balanced content or else we'd just be seeing a repeat of people getting maxed levels in another two weeks and even raising the cap doesn't do much if they're going to just keep farming for cash because designing with monetary profit in mind above all else will spoil whatever they're aiming for.

As I've mentioned once before, people gain levels and run through content too easily so a real revamp of the game should focus on areas that take a long time to explore: Quests for all characters with a unified story and system contents such as PvP. Giving people more to do in a way that doesn't let them trailblaze means players who get hooked on that aspect may stick around for longer, which is always good if you're hoping that they'll bring in revenue.

I agree with you. I LOVED the old pvp. It gave me something to do when I was bored of the constant grind of the game. I even leveled from 90-120 on my even thereSmile. I just hope they make this content good. I want the entire game restructured as party play. It's just so much funner playing with other people. The new area will probably be party play anyways.

Thats not really the issue for most lvl 200. If they give you a full ap reset, what will happen to your level 197-200 stats? Normally 90% of all jobs want to put those last 19 ability points into HP/MP instead of 2nd stat, if the coupon will reset hp too then people will just abuse it for mass hp washing. And if it doesnt and they increase the stat cap, then we're fucked if we added 2nd stat into hp (tricky way for nexon to force money out of us).

Oh, yeah, you're so very fucked if you've got 19 points out of 1500 in HP instead of mainstat.
