It's part of their quest for Stance. The monsters inside the "PQ" drop it, so you'll need to go along with a warrior and loot the skillbook from there. It can be rather difficult to find warriors to help you with this...

Yukiko Wrote:Hi, the first thing i did when i hit 4th job was take strafe off my keyboard. does that answer that question? lol. keyspace is at a premium, if you can't find space for SE, DB, MW, pheonix, hurr, conc, and hamstring, just get rid of strafe. 7 new active skills in 4th vs. 1 now obsolete skill from 3rd. 26 hawk has literally zero bonus over 25, so 20MB / 25hawk / 1 thrust would be fine. in my opinion, anything past 15mb is completely fine, and you will be using hawk well into your 15X's. and, MB's increases are now +3% activation per level, instead of the old +2% per level.

You've alreadt got 5 in bliz, you might as well make it 11 soon to get some 2 sec action.
I'd advize you to get around 15 strafe, finish up bliz, then decide on more strafe, more AE, or puppet. mp3 is what monsters? If its WR then bliz will help you quite a lot, and in that case I'd suggest ~15 strafe then 11 bliz.
lol techno. mp3 is probably the largest mob-type map in GMS that yields pretty insane exp rates for midrange AR/E archers, and every cleric / warrior in existence. and as every cleric / warrior in existence learns this, mp3 fills up quick and archers need to get competitive FAST.
Leave bliz where it is. if you wanna be at mp3, you need AE and IA badly. so get that. mp3 is blue and green ghosts from singapore (selkies and slimy, iirc). they are definitely not windraiders, but then again windraiders can and SHOULD be killed with your 2nd job skills. there is no need for inferno / bliz / AR(E) at WR's. edit - bootes is msea. they don't have WR's. get AR for sure then.

Meh. Is MP3 really considered that great exp? I left MP3 on my Outlaw (no experience there as an archer, Singapore came out long after I hit 4th o_o) in favor of Voodoos in late 5x. By mid-6x, Windraiders become a better option.
By the time you get AR/AE, you shouldn't really be training at MP3 anymore.

It's incredible for AR/AE actually. Fairly good for sniping, although Voodoos is probably better.

I have some questions. Concerning the way of the Hunter, Ranger, and Bowmaster
Is lvl 19 arrowblow better than lvl 20 doubleshot? Is there any skill in the Hunters, Rangers, or Bowmasters arsenal that gives you a higher damage than arrowblow? Is the ability to knock back something to be concerned about in later levels (fighting monsters like Bigfoot) In what situations (training areas, bosses) does HP becomes a concern and to what extent? Is arrow-rain training better than strafe training? Assume Magatia is already out. What non-main attacking skills get replaced by better skills or become useless (such as FA) What 4th job important skills should I be concerned in terms of availability and importance? and finally Are attack arrows worth it or used at bosses? ndynslvr Wrote:I have some questions. Concerning the way of the Hunter, Ranger, and Bowmaster If you maxed Arrow Blow, my advice to you is to delete and restart. The total damage done by Double Shot is better than Arrow Blow, esp. because DS gives 2 crit chances, and AB gives 1. If you make it to 3rd job it won't matter, but getting there with AB is harder than with DS, and bowmen are not easy to train. In second job, do NOT put anything into Final Attack. FA's usefulness has been debated, but the general consensus is that it is not that good, and actually hinders training. Furthermore, putting 0 in FA will allow you to max EVERY OTHER skill in 2nd job, which will be of greater lasting importance to your character because FA is not triggered by 3rd or 4th job skills. You use Double Shot in conjunction with Arrow Bomb from 2nd job until 3rd job. If you go the Pirates (or certain other maps) route in 3rd job, you max Rain first, if you go the Squids route, you max Strafe. Either way, at those points HP becomes an issue. Strafe and Arrow Rain will become your main attacks until 4th job, when you get Hurricane. In 4th job, the important skills are Hurricane, Sharp Eyes and Mastery. Once you max these you will be lvl 150, and while the other skills have their uses, they are not as useful as these three. Maple Hero is also a very good skill to have, but that's technically not a Bowmaster skill, everyone has it.

I read Quantact's post and saw that not maxing FA will allow for maxing every other skill... Which leads me to ask, is maxing PKB worth it? It gets replaced with dragon breath (I think) which is actually a better normal monster knock-backer. Might as well put that SP into focus and blessing.

Well, that's kind of like saying "Don't max Lucky Seven. It gets replaced by Triple Throw in 4th job." True, Power Knockback isn't as important as Lucky 7, and you're using it for 20 less levels, but you should still max it if you're not maxing Final Attack.

Okay. well I level really slow. this is the big issue:
I won't level anymore this year, i can tell you that much. So would it be wise for me, during the next 2 levels, would it be wise for me to go all 6 points into hurricane to come out with 11, or would it be better for 5 Hurricane and 1 mastery (gives me +1 watk)? Thanks!

All right I know that bow booster doesn't affect the amount of arrows that come out of hurricane or the speed of the arrows. But does speed booster affect the start up time for hurricane? Or does the buccaneer skill speed infusion affect the start up time of hurricane?
