Ok im confused, never played mods online, do we need to install FTB or its enough with the server having it? also zelkie did you install Smart Moving? i can't live without it

Smart Moving requires everyone use a modloader just to even get onto the game. I dont think I will be installing that, sorry.

Mmm. ill whack my head with it when the server its open. Would not hurt for zelkova to put some simple help page for people that don't have my patience to setup up their client to play in the servers.

Here's a question. How close can player-built structures be to the hotel? I'm wondering if it's possible to transplant a village over to like... when you get out of the hotel, the first thing you see is a huge village.

Besides, we sorta need to find a village first to transplant villagers. That... or someone use hax powers and get some villager spawn eggs. f3

I have a few villagers at my house, just need to breed them and can send a few that way.

I use McMyAdmin for remote administration. A free license is for up to 8 concurrent users, paid is up to 1024 concurrent users.

I had to get a license so I could open the server to everyone (I still need 2 more as well. The 50% off sale ends the 31st).

Ah bugger. While the latest version of the Mindcrack modpack (v8) is stable and working, it does contains new world gen stuff. We'll need to have a new fresh map to take advantage of it (preferably with the same map seed of the old map lol).

EDIT: Example: Thaumcraft got updated in the pack, and it adds this to the world gen.

We arent even a week in and someone has started griefing the server. I will be removing all non-southperrian people I have let in because their friends asked ever so nicely. If the griefing continues I will wipe the whitelist and bring in stricter rules.

You all have been warned.

The FTB server already opened at Mindcrack v7 with a brand new world map. However, with the latest version of the modpack (v8) and the additions to the world gen that it brings, to take advantage of the new gen stuff, the map will have to be re-created.

That said, I just tried the server out, but the modpack on the server still seems to be at v7, since trying to log in with Mindcrack v8 failed.
