Which sword? (Looks)

I'm trying to decide which sword to use for my Kaiser and I just can't decide.


I like Devil's Sunrise because it has a good design for a sword. To me, it looks like a classic sword. Unfortunately, it covers a little of my face and that (periodically) bothers me.


I like Doombringer because it matches the color scheme better than the other one, but overall it looks like a really clunky sword to me.

The third option is a Blue Screamer, but I haven't found one yet so I really don't know how it would look. (Anyone on Khaini interested in selling me one? lol....)

You could always use Banned Story to see how it would look like. I prefer the Devil's Sunrise as it matches your colour scheme and looks awesome but what you mentioned bothers me too, only that it bothers me less since you wouldn't be standing like that all the time.

I found the Doombringer to look particularly cool when used for Kaiser's attacks. It's also one of my favorite two handed swords.

It's too bad you don't have the Dragon Claymore as a choice though, that one is the best looking in my opinion.

I beleive that Devils Sunrise is one ugly motherfucking sword.

Doombringer, because I like it's sheathed animation when climbing ladders. and it looks cooler.

Blue screamer looks really badass. I found one in the fm for <10mil

I believe the burning sword animation is not affected by anviled swords.

The Doombringer is a classy sword.

Personally, I'd go with the Devil's Sunrise, just because of the awesome awesome AWESOMMEEE cross-guard. Though, the Doombringer has an interesting blade design...

Although, out of all three, I'd choose the Blue Screamer. That red tassel is just so great!

Blue Screamer is the most badass in my opinion, but as Sapta said, if you're gonna anvil it you'll have the original sword above your head with Tempest Blades or whatever its called, so keep that in mind.

I personally just wouldn't use tempest blades because I can't see how it could be beneficial to your DPS and you get the attack bonus regardless. Not to mention it's just kind of obnoxious clutter.

Can't agree more about the clutter. But, if you're filling up your gauge, it fills a good deal of it with just one cast. Personally, I'd just have it on during a boss run and just toss it whenever my fingers got tired of spamming Gigas.
...Or there's some super secret way to use it that's beyond my mind at the moment :f6:

Cast Tempest Blades and leave the swords out while you continue fighting. Once the boss is vulnerable, send the swords flying and summon the blades immediately after again and send the next set flying. It grants some pretty huge burst damage, especially when used from Final Form, and it's also handy for clearing out small mobs on platforms above the character if the player uses Grapple and then stops before hitting the top to send off the swords before falling.

I find it to be more of a lead in burst attack rather than something used for increasing DPS in between Gigas Wave spamming. Inferno Breath is the same way too. Use it before proceeding to the rest of the spam and try to keep enemies on top of the burning areas.

I'd get the Doombringer, the best looking sword in the game!
