How was your day? - League of Legends edition

While I'm still technically unranked (still 5 more placement matches to go) I hit Gold tier again. I wonder if the placement matches I've played thus far will affect the new ranked system?

I've been playing Riven a ton only to realize that she's getting nerfed. Riven is a power house in solo queue.

Queue'd up with my roommate, and got partnered with a Xin Zhao that always dived anything that moved and a Vayne with horrible game mechanics and map awareness. Vayne kept peaching about how I should ping when I leave to ward (even though it's obvious when, seriously 3-4 min lv 3 gank = obvious), kept engaging in 1v2s and 1v5s, and always tried to roam when our bot lane was pushed to our tower. Xin Zhao kept raging at my roommate for not engaging when he tower dives the enemy team (while they're grouped up and they're under the tower), but we just kept on going. I muted both Xin Zhao and Vayne because it was obvious that they were going to peach at people all game, and just focused on the game. Even though we were losing in kills and towers most of the games and Xin And Vayne peached about how we were going to lose, I just warded, healed whoever needed it, pinged enemy positions, etc. Fortunately, they kept 5 man focusing my roommate, who was going tank GP, when he was alone, so it took them ~30 seconds each time to kill him, giving us enough time to push and take towers. We were losing all our lanes, but won the teamfights because there was always someone out of position. we got baron, forced an engage, went 5 for 0 in the trade, and won.

tl;dr staying focused and positive wins games.

Went 15-7-19 in a winning game with Ahri, only to not get credit for it because the game glitched or something when I exited after their nexus exploded... So, no exp, IP or win for me.

You still get the exp and IP. I get that glitch frequently and have always received my end of match rewards. If you check your match history it should reflect this.

Was having a wonderful winning streak going until this awful Graves ruined it. I was supporting and ended up with more gold and damage dealt to champions.

Also today in my lecture the people behind me were talking about the balance changes this patch lol....

Almost lost a 5v4 ranked game because of how stupid our Katarina was. She keeps dying to ganks because she doesn't ward, feeds Shaco and Anivia, and falls behind - and out of all the things she could do to catch up, she chooses "go farm bot lane".

I had a free farm lane because their AD carry left and they had a support Leona, but that all went out the window when a shut down Kat brought a fed Anivia and Shaco to bot lane AND kept stealing all my CS. It's a miracle we even won.

Sigh. Always losing. No one to play with. Forever solo queue.

I started playing Jarvan after I found out Riven was nerfed. She's a bit harder to play because of that lowered health regen in my opinion... that or I was going against a 13 HP pot Shen top lane haha.

Ah ok, was my first experience with that, figured it was because the game was borked up for a while last night and no one could join/create games. Was ticked that I couldn't honor a couple teammates that seriously deserved it more than anything.

JARVAN PENTA IN AN ARAM we lost though

I love when bad starts end up in happy endings, in a 3vs3 match, a cassio+olaf bot vs vi+singed (My team), it should suffice to say that we got poked the pineapple out of us with the axes and the poisons and pomegranate, we ended up giving them 2 or 3 kills early, singed decided to go a little easier and i decided to jungle, as soon as the mid game arrived Team fights where easy because mostly there wasn't any team fights, we ALWAYS caught Cassio out of position and whenever she thought she could escape due to his ult freezing us, my Mercury thread + my Ult had something entirely different to say, trundle in top keep trundling the pineapple out of jax (he could not kill him alone), and from time to time trundle soloed vile without a care in the world.

Lmao, I read above's and it reminded me of this game yesterday where I was (forget my champion) always getting hit by his axes, even when he couldn't see me, resulting in death each time. These fucking axes have a built in homing device or something ; - ;

today on LoL: Lost elo due to afker, carried some games played a 5 man smite game and then made [MENTION=846]Corn[/MENTION]; suffer a suffering unlike anything, which he carried us through (with my help too)

Won all my Jarvan IV games today. 2 of 4 I was jungling. Not a bad day :>. Jarvan's ganks are scary and he's pretty threatening in a team fight imo.

Played with some Platinum players today and realized how much I suck at this game.

I'm thinking I'm proooobabbably not able to go to Platinum. Gold, hopefully, but honestly I'm amazedI'm not deeper in elo hell :3.

I have come to a realization that top lane may be my best role again.
