Back in the day it was pretty simple. You chose Xbowmen for big numbers and snipe, and you chose Bowmen for quicker attacks and Hurricane. It worked, there was a point where they were pretty balanced, and people couldn't agree which one was better. Each had its own perk.
In the same way, one should be appealed to Wild Hunters for the whole monster taming thing, to Wind Archers for the whole wind-skills theme, Mercedes for their swift dual-blade-like madness, and you get the drift. But currently it's just: ehmagherd hurricane dps.
I'm not even asking for game balance, I know that's impossible in a game like Maple Story, where new jobs are gods. I'm just asking for unique gameplay for each class, and not have copypasta skills. Anglic Buster, Luminous and Kaiser did great in this aspect, we can hope that if they remake Cygnus Knights, we'll get something just as unique and fun.
I think u mean not give EVERY NEW CLASS A HURRICANE LIKE SKILL
I wonder what new skills blaze wiz will get

tbh, when playing my WH, what they should have aimed for with WH imo is a more emphasis on summoning creatures and summons, and slightly less reliance on the actual bow and more action with the jaguar. If they would double(wishful thinking) jaguar based attack speeds, and add different jaguar skills, it would easily be a unique class.

Yeah, exatly. But instead of creating a class wtih unique perks (a beastmaster archer who relies a lot on melee attacks, and taming monsters), Nexon's mentality was to create a "better archer". Heck, in the first extractions Wild Hunters had BOTH Hurricane and Snipe. Nexon didn't even knew what they wanted to do. Then they just decided that'd piss of Marksmen, and had the awesome idea to just give it MORE ARROWZ and WALKING HURRICANE.

I like how so many people are like "omg if they change blessing they're basically forcing me to play one till 200". My KoC's only 105 or something, got bored of it and quit playing. There's really no pressure to play a class you don't like; the bonus is nice, but not worth killing yourself over..

Which resulted in a class with higher %/s than bowmasters, lower hits per second than bowmasters, with 100% stance and mobility to compensate for less effective active healing and more limitations due to damage cap.
Your complains are unwarranted.

I don't think he is disregarding the efficiency of Wild hunters, just criticizing the fact they could have been a unique class, but in their lack of imagination Nexon couldn't think of anything better than make it a hybrid of its own concept and BM.
Anyway, all I have to say about this is in the case of Wind Archer, I hope Nexon disregards the idea of Hurricane and makes that 3 huge arrow attack their main single target attack. Sure it isn't much different from strafe but with some animation tweaks (and damage of course) it can look awesome.

Heck no, IIRC Hero's Brave slash is around 800ms alone and 600ms with booster, thats already pretty fast. A 300ms wind shot would be pretty close to Hurricane or at least on part with Ultimate drive. Wind shot can be a little faster than it already is, but what it really requires is a damage boost to make it worth using that's on par with other char's standards.

Of course they will. nexon is so lazy when it comes to skills that they give everyone a 30sp mastery skill in 4th job
Edit: But I really hope they do something creatively for all of them. Like a wind walk so wind archers can flow a short deration or something. I would say something about night walkers but i dont think anything will come close. Just a unique skill that isn't a stupid small posion bomb.

Honnesty I(and probably everyone else) thought it was a preclude to 5th job. it still can be but their timing is way off. I think the reason was just to force people into 4th job because thats when you get the cool skills. And ill end it here because I dont want to get into how nexon can better their classes.

I don't mind having 45 un-used SP if it means getting 4th job 20 levels earlier. I believe they have a long term plan for them, itll just be a while before we see it.
