This sounds interesting. I'm curious about the advancement thing. Does it get rid of the "trololol you were one game from gold but you lost, win 2 now" thing? Like, you have to win 3/5 games to rank up instead of just passing a certain number? I want more detailsss. And dat challenger medal looks sickk.

I think it somewats works as Elo now, but instead of being a random elo for next rank its a set number of league points, so i think yes if you lose one game that would reduce your league points increasing the amount of wins you need to rank up.

From what I understand elo is still there, you just don't lose the division you make it to. Sort of like how if you got high enough for a border/other reward last season you didn't lose it if you dropped below the threshold for it.

Now I'm curious what the average distance run by a champion in a 30 minute game is. Scaling up to normal distances.

While I'm still technically unranked (still 5 more placement matches to go) I hit Gold tier again. I wonder if the placement matches I've played thus far will affect the new ranked system?
