Mp Increase
#1
Is it really THAT regretful not maxing Mp increase first? I mean, id understand why it would be regretful for a mage, with elemental amp, but what about for Holy Mages? What does not maxing this skill first hinder them from doing?

Depends on when you maxed it, really. When did you max it?

EVERY SINGLE MAGE SHOULD MAX THIS FIRST. It's like not maxing Hp increase for brawlers or warriors first. It's a must.

im guessing by holy mages u mean priests or clerics? If you plan on playing this class into 4th job, you must have this maxed first in 2nd job. A bishop casting genesis uses 3k mp or so (not sure). If you don't max mp increase first im sure that you would greatly hinder yourself. If you would even be able to cast a genesis o.o

It is VERY important that you max MP increase. Some hardcore mages skip 1 point of magic bolt to put all their first points in MP increase

Not maxing MP increase doesn't prevent you from being good Clerics/Priests/Bishops. Just harder survivability and higher pots costs. But, it's probably best to max MP increase as soon as possible.

[COLOR="Indigo"]As long as it IS maxed (even if it is later rather than sooner), your character's not doomed. As the above poster mentioned, you may end up spending more money on pots (Can't take as many hits before potting, can't cast Gen quite as many times before potting, etc) But it's not the end of the world.

You don't lose that much MP, I'd bargain around 100? It won't matter that much in the later levels.

Unless you're freaking out, then start over :f6:.

All that really happens is that you spend more on potions and have to use them more often, unless you maxed it so late that your max mp is less than five times your max hp.

eh my friends said they regretted it. ive put a month into this character, and i plan to put more months into him. i just needed to know what would happen if i maxed it later instead of right at the start Excellent

And they gain 6 MP in return for their toil.
