TERA Online General : Now Free to Play

Wow, the new Dracoloth event is pretty decent. Got 3 kills today in a party of 6, got 47 refined alks and 24 mws, and like 10 t13 enigmatics. They are World Boss versions of the phase 3 Dracoloth in Nexus, so they have a ton of HP, but it's fun if you can find one that's in a closed space so it can't run away and reset itself.

Probably TR. That's where everyone that I knew from MS plays now.

Today is apparently my one allotted lucky day of the year. Rerolled my axe to what I wanted in 1 try, then got it +10->+12 in 7 enchants. After having spent well over 50K on it just to enchant that fucker, I'm glad it's finally over.

Nice. I got my Lancer's weapon to +12 the other day. I'm a little bit on the lucky side. Took 38k in total to both masterwork it and enchant it to +12. Now I have two 60's with +12 weapons. My slayer's Mindslash is still +10 although I'm not prioritizing it. Working on leveling up my Berserker to 60 and repeat the whole process. xD

I can't even get to +10..lucky you guys! Failed so much I moved to +9ing my glove(Currently +7), since it was the next best thing with +2 crit every bonus aha

I failed 57 +9->+10. Like I said, it has cost like 50-70K and I didn't even pay for MWing.

KTera just went F2P today but not without announcing some awesome content. I'm still hoping NA Tera stays away from it but I guess we'll see what happens.


3 new raids, seiges, alliance guild system and a alliance instance or something.

Yep, I just saw that stuff too. The alliance update is pretty awesome, and to be totally honest the only problem I have with stuff on the F2P model is the overpowered new VIP account status, the rest of the stuff looks at least not bad and at most incredibly awesome. MW and enchanted items drop in dungeons? PETS THAT CAN LOOT? These are things that needed to be in the game from the very beginning, to encourage more streamlined farming and more importantly to encourage people to actually farm dungeons in the first place.

Oh man, just got a Courtplate, MWed and +8, for only 40K. On PvE plain they are 30-35K...so I paid 10K max for what would have cost me like 50K to do myself. Good day today!

Try to get away from Nexon, but they are just infecting everything. Looks like Tera will indeed be going F2P unless they have this awesome hybrid system.

pineappleS SAKE, I just can't get a break on this pomegranate. My courtplate has eaten over 30K in spellbinds already and it still won't give me my second boss line.

anyone looking for a partner to duo LoT/ET, by the way? I've been trying to do it as much as possible, but most people quit on me after 3-4 runs so I have to find tons of people to fill in...zerker can't solo because of jester, the archer summon potshots us to death.

The lead dev/exec has already stated he is taking that thread seriously and even linked to it in his main sticky about the f2p conversion; we need to make it as clear as possible that the community as a whole absolutely does not want any P2W implemented into the cash shop, only cosmetics.

Signed the petition and made statements against the economy reliance issues of a F2P as well.

On the upside, at least i can start logging in again.

I couldn't justify paying 15$ for 3-4 hours a week of play. Even Chronoscrolls considered= I'd just end up using that time to farm for them and nothing else.

Yeah, I saw that. That's absolutely insane. Inspired me to try soloing instances on my Lancer.

Welp, despite the hundreds of pages of people speaking out against it, looks like TERA is going p2w after all. They are removing MW alkahests from vanarch shops.

I have a decent guild. Well, decent now; we recently had a massive overhaul. Old leader left; she was a friend but she couldn't handle the pressure of being the leader of one of the top guilds on the realm, which hey, I don't blame her, I couldn't either. But, when she left, a lot of dead weight left with her. You know, pros that hang around just to show off but don't actually do pomegranate for the guild and ignore requests for help, that type. They left for Perfectionists, arguably the worst elitist tryhard guild on TR (they also exploit as many glitches/loopholes as possible to get what they want, and actually have the gall to get mad at others for not doing the same). Now it's a much more friendly environment, with no bad influences on new members really left. By the way, for everyone on TR, I don't think I ever gave out my IGN; my main is Ahiru, add it if you want, have a ton of room left in BL since I don't go out of my own circle/guild all that often. Also, endgame dungeon help for newbies and bench player for ACNM/ACHM/MCNM/MCHM/Sirjuka/ToT for those endgamers that lose a member at the last minute, just look to me for all your needs! I'm also always down for duoing LoT/ET, they are still fun for me even though I've got 50+ clears on LoT.

Are PVP Zerkers worth a shet, or are Zerkers worth a shet in general anyway?
