Captain Planet Mafia Discussion Thread.

...you know, I thought I had a handle on Mafia, as I had played it a number of times with my friends, and did well in MasPan's game (even if my "side" lost miserably). However, as I read through the mafia thread my confidence has slowly eroded. I think I'm a little out of my league here (still plenty of though).

Can anyone explain to me the roles that were mentioned? I noticed Captain Planet, Captain Pollution, Greedy, Eco-Villians, and one or two other groups/names, but I have no idea who they are.

Don't bother about the theme. I have no idea what any of these people are. These people do complicated games .

Thing is, I'm not even sure I know that.

Well Captain Planet and the Planeteers are good, and everyone else is bad it seems.

Anything dealing with a name is just flavor - it doesn't mean anything in context of the game.

And the only way to get better is to play more. The more you play and the more random situations you encounter the more you'll be able to see trends or be able to reason out what may or may not be happening. If you're referring to my nitpicking details, don't worry too much about that - I'm looking at things as if I were mafia. "What would I do..."

Back when we played more on this forum it was actually reasonable to lynch me early on just because statistically I was a non-town role way more often than the norm. So it makes it easier for me to at least try to think about what the mafia might be trying to accomplish.[/COLOR]

If its not too much trouble metaseraphim, next time you post could you change the title in the advance reply to better reflect what day it is. I would also like if someone would normally reply (without quoting) to see if the new title i use will be reflected by post after this one.

Could be because he was new and didn't quite know how to get out the message of what he saw. I'd agree though, I was constantly thrown off by the claims and accusations too.

I knew he was kinda harmless, but his obnoxious way of trying to save his skin rubbed me the wrong way :/. Oh well whats done is done.
