Recent Magnus Hard Mode Permanent Bans

You can go into Magnus with a party of 1. It is of course, entirely possible that some hackers just used their Empress exped to get in, and whatever mules they use to fill those normally also got banned.

From what I understand, only people who got credit for killing Hard Magnus got banned for it. If you were a filler in an expedition and didn't go in the room (or d/ced before it died, or died and didn't revive before it died), you didn't get that "clear" and so didn't get recorded or banned. But, I don't really know. The "recording" might have included everyone in the party or expedition.

I guess that makes more sense. We probably shouldn't take the "hackers and their party members" part of the notice literally.

If the exploit was specific to Hard Magnus I'd agree, but they don't seem to have touched the scumbags making Crockies unusable for anyone else. It lets them clear the whole map in a couple seconds...

All the hackers are going to empress now because nexon doesn't care about empress.

Well in my server I let the hackers go before me so I can laugh when they voluntarily leave like 10 seconds later. This has been happening for a week now.

IMO they're only treating the symptoms and not working on the problem itself. The problem is the hack that enables a Hard Mode kill, the same one that's used to leech people and deal incredible amounts of damage in a very short time. Until that's fixed people are just going to send mules to kill Hard Mode, then transfer the equips onto a mule and sell from there. I don't think hackers have had an enabler like this since familiar hack.

I sometimes wonder if these hacks/scripts/clients are even patchable. I mean, that vip client has been out for what, two, three years? And it's still running strong.

I have it on good authority that people in the same party as the killer but were not present for the kill (i.e. disconnected going in or while inside) did not get the clear message and therefore were not banned. Magnus doesn't require an expedition anyway, nor fillers. Don't know what happens when you try to enter with people who aren't present or on the same channel but it probably doesn't let you in; this prevents someone from getting "tricked" into the same party as a magnus hacker.

I just got the "[Notice] don't buy Tyrant gears they'll be deleted" message. Good.

I lol @ everyone who bought a Tyrant Cape. Can't believe people didn't expect this to happen.

Where's "all players with tyrant equips will be banned"?

Good, no excuse not to delete them since 100% of Tyrant gear is illegitimate. Should be easy for Nexon. Though they will probably miss a few, they always seem to.

Technically you can get Tyrant equips from the Shadow Merchant shop too ._.
For some reason they're the cheapest things in the shop too O.o
I've got 60 coins atm from doing the daily Shadow Merchant quests =3 so I've almost got enough for the cheapest thing in the shop (70 coins).
Guess I'll wait to actually buy something until this all passes over ._.
Don't want people to assume bad of me by seeing what I worked hard to earn o.e (well not "hard", the shadow merchant quests are all repeats of quests you did during the Heliseum HQ stuff, so they're not difficult or anything~ but still lol, it was like 4-5ish coins a day from those quests o.e felt like it took ages to reach 60 coins)

@Below: oh? well that's pretty lame =[ I didn't even notice...though I guess that makes sense.
It did seem weird that they were the cheapest things in the shop ._.''
Guess I'll be saving for either Heliseum or Nova stuff~

You can only purchase Tyrant equips with the coins that drop from Hard Mode Magnus, which as far as anyone knows, you have to have hacked to be able to get. These coins are not the same as Shadow Merchant coins.
