If my Blaze Wizard becomes Oz I will be very happy, it was the first character I really enjoyed playing, the first one to ever reach third job, and the first one to ever reach max level (even if it was only 120) It's got so many memories attached to it that I am really looking forward to this "massive revamp" if it allows me to play my wonderful Blaze Wizard again.
Plus, during a moment of madness i bought an NX outfit for it. So it will be nice for it to not be wasted. Also due to the treasure island event I have a full Reverse set for it to wear to get me started again.
Agreed, I like my Wind Breaker's IGN a lot and was also my first maxed level character (Never mind that it's 120). I also think we might see some fun mechanics being applied for Irena as Wind Breakers played slightly differently than normal archers at least until you got Hurricane.

Nexon have said there will be Hyper Skills for the Knights of Cygnus, so that's one thing they'll be getting. The next and last update of Unlimited is in two weeks. Monster Life and Root Abyss will be the content of the last update.
Root Abyss is related to Empress Cygnus because Alice who is revealed to be the World Tree will visit her in Ereve when you free Alice from the seal that is put on her. She has been sealed by the ''sealing guardian'' who is speculated to be Damien, the brother of Demon. In Demon Avenger quests you already meet Damien.
You meet in in different places and the Temple of Time is the last place you meet him before he disappears says that ''we will meet again soon''. Demon has no idea who he has but at the last moment when Damien disappears he says to himself ''No way...'' indicating he might know who this NPC ??? is.
You also discover that the Black Mage has a new commander. We all know that this new commander is Damien.
Since Root Abyss is in the Chinese test servers, I wonder if they get Root Abyss. Their update preview of version 107 is online. But I don't see an image of Root Abyss. (change event_01.asp to 02,03,04,05 or 06.asp in your address bar since some pages say ''coming soon'').
Maybe Chinese users are testing it and giving feedback so it's basically ready to go for KMS.

Wind Archers will still have hurricane though.. probably get AFA too cause why the pineapple not.

That can be considered a form of content, so long as it makes the areas useful.
My problem is that I look at the extractions, and all I ever see is more skill changes, more NPCs, and more NX/useless items. If I see mobs, it's a couple of low level mobs that have no relevance because they're not going to matter outside of the specific character they were designed for. If I see maps, they are maps specifically made to job advance or story advance the new class.

what if they made the bottom half of the server channels non party play, and the top half party play
as in top half would have boosted exp/hp/pdr/drops, and bottom would be normal. naturally not applying to bosses, encouraging people to work together in more places than just LHC/stronghold
i think this would synergize well with unlimited

They would have to have the top half channel mobs have different stats from the bottom half channel's. Otherwise there's still no reason to party, as most of the maps are not fit to be partied in.

Party play is meant to be an equivalent to solo play (except in a party of course) plus the bonus to EXP for being in a party i.e. anyone can solo play in a PPZ or solo place and expect roughly equal returns (PPZ will always have some downsides for solo players). The funded players will overdamage solo mobs, and would be better off killing PPZ mobs, so the funded players would have to pick up the incentive to party up, provided it isn't a dead channel/world...
I think PPZ is a wonderful system, except that people get lazy and that starts to go underhand (read: leech service).
I think the best solution (which will come super slowly) is for Nexon to give us more content (ages away) and to balance out different areas (not going to happen; people will always complain). LHC should not be the only option for 141-160, for example, given that many other options are significantly less desirable.

The problem is, and always has been, that party play areas are so significantly better than the solo variants that no one will bother with them. That's why when people think of training after 120 you won't get many answers besides LHC, if any at all. 165? Enjoy Stronghold. Don't like Stronghold? That's too damn bad.
You argue that funded players would have somewhere to go? Why would we do that when party play is almost guaranteed to be significantly better than every other option? Hell, before I lost the items on my Archmage, I would grab 5 leechers and solo LHC because it was actually faster for me to do so due to my funding. Do you honestly think the same wouldn't happen here?
It also doesn't fix ksing. It just promotes parties ksing each other instead of individuals.

Ehh. In most maps it's more beneficial to train in an active party(provided you have the proper buffs) unless you can kill the mobs at an extreme speed(Such as Spectral Light Luminous at Aliens holy pomegranate). The problem here is that the benefit is so small in comparison to pre-bb that no one makes the effort to grab a party.

i really just want a party play expansion, it's terrible how you're penalized for playing with friends on anything other than a party play map.

Not to say that you're wrong, I wholeheartedly agree with you, but I've actually found that there are several alternatives to LHC. They aren't much less repetitive, and get slow after about 140, but they're there.
For example, after level 125, I took my Kaiser to Neo City and did all of the quests there, then proceeded to murder every boss there 20 times every day (20 is the daily limit for each individual boss). Then I went and did the Silent Crusade and started killing the highest level available boss in the mystic gates 20 times each day. And then I'd do Monster Park 5 times. I found the whole process to be quite a bit faster than LHC if only because I didn't have to waste time looking for a party.

They are, but LHC usually is more efficient provided you have a party. As stated, I could either solo and when I couldn't I was training with my guild. The rare occasions I could do neither I enjoyed Neo City Maps. Mileage may vary, though.
