LoveVictim Wrote:It's a nice idea but honestly, getting the average farmer banned isn't going to do much of anything. Those Battle Mage accounts are not their mains, they use those farming accounts to fund their mains or to just gain money to use IRL. They can bot to 15x within 24 hours and it will be a non ending cycle. The real issue is going after the boss hunting hackers, if you can set up a way for everyone to mass report these obvious boss hunting hackers for investigation, maybe Nexon will actually look into them.
They'll see a few other things, such as prominent maps, and frankly how much of a problem it is. It's possible with this information they can combat this or see that it's become such an issue it's necessary.
Frankly inconviencing them is still better than letting them do whatever they please. This method won't allow us to attack the big fish as suggested, not unless we have GM powers, so it's unrealistic and frankly, to me, kind of pessimistic to throw any effort that won't fix the game instantly.

Still though there has to be a way to get attention to these "popular" hackers, the ones that hack Magnus, Empress, CPB, etc.
List the hackers, have people I don't know which word to say, nominate? Doesn't sound right but if more than 10 or so acknowledge that person being a widely known boss hacker, publicize that specific person and have a bunch of people submit tickets reporting that certain hacker? I don't know, that would be the general idea though perhaps the guy organizing this being friend's with GM's apparently can come up with something better.
But if there's a way to knock those hackers out of the game, then you will see significant changes in the market. Believe me if these boss hackers get permanently banned they usually won't ever come back again. Afterall, even though they're illegitimately killing Magnus, CPB, or Empress, these characters still have to be well funded while hacking to defeat these bosses, so they lose a lot when they're banned.

The only way, and I mean the only way, is if the head honcho's decide that effort is needed outside of profit. The game has so much potential but it keeps getting disregarded and the employees abused where they have no power.
Here's what we can do, as a community, and I've tried other methods in the past, is try to take the current work load from them, two people have given us, the community to enforce those opportunities. Yes in the grand scheme of things it is insignificant because the real problems won't be solved by the community, but by in game babysitting. The fact of the matter is, we may reach that point if we help clear out all the FUD they have to deal with and hit the more pressing issues.

Applied for Bello/Nova. I only hope that I can consistently do this since the internet I will be using would be dorm internet (and it sucks more than being at home).

Funny story, the very next day after this conversation we had, all the magnus shops in khaini were banned/deleted LOL. So it looks like a Gm is watching over us

I submitted an application for Bera. I've got FRAPs and have uploaded recorded footage of MS before, though I dunno if it meets the quality standards. A link was put in the application to provide an example, so I guess we'll see.

I applied for Renegades since it seems no one else was. I dislike hackers greatly, and am completely willing to log on Maple just to collect evidence to expose them, although I have a question.
There is a decent amount of video evidence that does exist already; specifically of certain members of my server, very "high" ranked members, hacking or participating in hacker activities. Could we use this as evidence? If this does take off and Game Masters start using this website, I would love to see these people get what they deserve.

Great intentions but this may be all for nothing (I sincerely hope not though). The only ones who can clean up Nexon's mess are Nexon themselves. It starts from the top down.

Cory, what the hell are you doing.
on topic, I can totally help out with this too.
edit: question though, once [if] chosen will we only be allowed to report on one character? ie. I take a video on my shadower, yet only my bowmaster's ign is registered with you.

Accounts are not registered solely by IGN, you can play any character you want.
