This... It's getting quite frustrating that they don't bring those scrolls back. Still got a few pieces of Sharktooth gear I need to finish scrolling and I'm being forced to use Clean Slates from the Tempest store to finish my items - ONLY TO FIND OUT YOU CAN'T PURCHASE MORE THAN 5 PER CHARACTER... So I have to do Gourd quests on other characters for a chance that it will recover at least one slot.

And then you can't even clean slate hammered slots, so my gear will be unfinished for a while.

What do you mean, can't clean slate hammered slots? I've done it before. Has it changed?

Oh I was told it can't be slated cause it's hammered. I don't want to risk it and be the one to find out.

I don't think so. It's just that slots from the CS hammers can be reversed while slots added from event hammers can't so it might be the latter case.

I've slated both CS Hammer and Event Hammer slots back, so whoever told you that is full of pomegranate.

The game can't tell what kind of hammer you got your slot from. Or which slot you failed a scroll on.
All it knows is whether the + is less than the maximum it could be, considering the # of slots that item has when clean, the "upgrades available" and the "number of hammer applied".

So for example if I have a regular weapon (7 slots when clean), and it says:
Quote:(+6)
upgrades available: 0
hammers applied: 1
Then the game knows I've failed two slots (it could have been +8 by now, since I used a hammer).
It can't possibly know whether I failed the first two, the last two, the 4th and 8th, or any others.
It also can't know whether either of the failed slots was due to a 50% hammer, or both of them due to normal scrolls failing.
All it knows and all it cares is that there are two failed slots. If the clean slate works, it will restore one of them, so the weapon will show:
Quote:(+6)
upgrades available: 1
hammers applied: 1

Huh. Rumours, rumours. That basically means the only slots that can never be returned are the extra slots on items from MSEA's Monster Box as we've proven that beyond a doubt and I suppose we never got enough data to test the two completely.

Ugh. Guess I have to set up lumis on extra comps now. At least I have a small chance to finish scrolling my wep. <_<

I still don't understand why GMS decided to give mounts "Jag Jump" specifically, rather than the simple (and better looking) Double Jump ._.

Because WH ride on a mount, and said mount has Jag Jump. Easy to make another mount have Jag Jump since there's already a mount with it.

Too bad you weren't in Scania. I just bought some pretty cheap shield scroll service. It went smoothly and he even had collateral.

So at 23 coins per 10% clean slate, that's 230 coins for one slot, and at a 30% scrolling rate (20+10%) we've got 2.3 failures per passed scroll, and 33 scrolls for a 10-slot equip. In all that's 5290 coins for clean slates and 594 for scrolls themselves. All for one equip equivalent to a GMed equip.

God that's a lot of coins.
