How was your day?
Saw Les Miserables, which was good, but not great, and had to wait a good 20-30 minutes to get back into our rental house because the electronic door lock was dysfunctional, the landkeeper had the wrong key, and the security guard had to literally drill it out. So ridiculous.

So I'm leaving for Lebanon tomorrow and my mom told me my relatives have surprises in store in me. She told me the day I get there, there's a supper where all my relatives come and see me. All of them easily means 40+ people, there for me. I'm getting stressed about that because I'm going to be so boring and shy unless I get really drunk. But then If I'm drunk I'm scared I'll accidentally out myself and then I die.
Arabic Problems.

With 40 different people to ask questions, you shouldn't have to worry much about striking up conversations. SOMEONE will be able to do that. Probably better not to drink much if you can avoid it, at least until you're more comfortable around them.

Had the most epic time buying a new car today. Bought a brand new 2013 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited PZEV and traded in my crap 02 chevy impala.

Now, my impala was definitely a problem car. It was having electrical issues. For example, sometimes the turn signals would not work, and there was that whole check engine debacle some of you may have read about in the angry dome. I didn't want to deal with it anymore - so new car.

They didn't even check the car codes. They simply took the VIN/Title and ran Carfax on it. They offered me $800 (which is a steal considering what I know it's actually worth) and I took it.

So I'm driving out of the lot and I see the salesperson getting into my car. He tries to start the car and it won't turn over.

F'UCK YEAH B'ITCHES.

I get a call from the salesperson two hours later:

SALES: Hey, we can't get your car to start. Is there a trick or something?
ME: No... there is no trick. You just turn it over and it goes. I'm sorry I really can't help you here.
SALES: Well, alright. I guess it's having separation anxiety.

Rather chill day, got up around afternoon and hung out with an old friend. Then went around and shopped a bit, got a new jacket, button up, and shirt as well as some film for that camera I got. Had japanese for dinner and just made my mom a wreathe. Over all pretty good day, hit a bitchy mood sometime after dinner but all is well. Still aching a bit though, this is different feeling.

Went out to the nearest mall and got some more damn clothes I need to STAHP, though needed some different jeans so I got enough jeans and some nice tops to last me a long while. Went out to eat a great southern comfort dinner with my Aunt afterwards, and then came back to my mother's to drink with her and family friends. Caught up and now I'm gonna sip the rest of this smirnoff while watching HP3 with my sister and friend. Overall a reallllllllllllllllly great last day in NC, back to Tejas tomorrow afternoon and back to work on Saturday.

Oh and I kind of thinned out the sides of my hair with my new hair clippers because I remember seeing that Connor did that, more fierce points for me.

I'm waiting on the one moment to make this Christmas break worth it. So far, lost the chance to be in a relationship, my parents are irritating me, I have no means of transportation, I have been cleaning while my brother sits on his ass, and I don't have any friends nearby. I am miserable.

'Tis the season.

My childhood friends who I haven't had contact with for a while came over near midnight just to say hi.

Highlight of my day.

Saw my therapist today and had an enlightening conversation. I'm going out to dinner with my brother tonight, which is cool. Going to start reviewing my undergrad research again now for possible interviews. Grad school interviewers ALWAYS ask about that.

I'll just use this as a place to vent about my week:

My bum-ass stepbrother came un-invited into my mom's apartment and overstayed his welcome. I'm this close to kicking him out if he still hasn't left. Two things stink after 3 days. Fish and uninvited houseguests.

I ordered Coroner (metal) band shirts from Switzerland using paypal. I have never ordered anything overseas using paypal until now and have been having trouble tracking the package, plus it's been about 10 days since I've ordered it. Should it have been delivered by now?

My work situation isn't very good. I'm switching over from ColdFusion to Java web application development and Java is about 50 times harder to get accustomed to (as well as 50 times more robust than ColdFusion, which is the reason I switched to begin with). It's not like I'm trying my ultra-hardest to learn but at the same time I don't think I'm getting substantial help from more experienced co-workers when I run into issues. Nevertheless, I'm learning more and more every day about it regardless of whether the co-workers choose to help me or not and I really appreciate their help whenever I do get it, which is not as often as I'd like it to be.

On the bright side, I'm really happy to be getting 3 days off from work next week and the chance to celebrate new years. Cheers.

^ Intercontinental mail can take a couple of weeks, especially during the holidays. Do contact the sender if they gave you a tracking number that doesn't work. They might have mistyped it.

OT: hate having to wait for medical test results.

Oh god Fiel, you win. lol

Got my hair chopped today and I swear barbers are like magicians. I mean, I went in looking like a hobo on a train wreck with bushy eyebrows and an oddly shaped goatee. Now I look goddang manly handsome.

+1 confidence

Come at me New Year. I'm ready.
