is Apple destroying capitalism?

you must use their products for everything. itunes for all apple products.. restriction to in apple only. their goal is to make their stuff seem exclusive..all that stuff. you could probably come up with more

Eventually, they're going to screw up.
Steve jobs will die and then apple is fucked.
Or something. Apple has gotten really lucky with their products but yet they still only own about 10% of their market in comparison to windows (despite the micro-hate that is so common)

Apple believes it can make more money by using proprietary formats. From the very beginning, their message was, "You don't need to buy anything from anyone else, we offer a complete line of products guaranteed to work together smoothly."

Other companies believe they can make more money by allowing interoperability, and using "standard" formats.

It's all capitalism. Business. Looking for money, for profit.

Firefox, OpenOffice, etc., if anything, would destroy capitalism.

I'm not too worried, personally. The world won't end because of a couple free applications.

i guess when i made this thread i thought apple was ruling the world..

and i also read that if apple was a car company, the cars would only use apple gas from apple gas stations.
