Which level two links are most worth it
#21
Why don't people like Mercedes Link Skill? I mean, it isn't a huge bonus, but having 15% extra exp tacked on for anyone below level 200 helps.

Also mercedes link skill is a free teleport to Victoria with 30min cooldown.

I have no idea either. I mean, unless all of your characters are level 200 it's useful for all types of mule-making.

i love it really, use that and a exp pendant that comes from pretty much any event, and you're getting 1.4(5) exp, that's almost a free 1.5x exp coupon.

Getting a mercedes from 1-70 for 10% and a HIGHLY useful warp (esp now that helisium is out which warps you literally anywhere) was torture enough. 70-120 for half that is hilariously terrible for those who aren't invested in dex gear already.

Is it? My Mercedes went virtually unfunded because I was too lazy to pass my Bowmaster's equips over and I managed well enough but I'll admit the 7th Anniversary set I got later on did help me to get to level 120 faster than expected.

I hate bowmen in general, so yeah.

Plus i don't really need to train characters anymore.

Good point. I suppose Mercedes' skill is more of a toss-up than the others since skills like the ones provided by DS/DA, Phantom etc have a use no matter what while Mercedes' skill has almost zero effect at level 200. I still like it though, Fairy's Pendants aren't easy to get here and given how it's so much harder to gain levels here I'm going to need all the EXP I can get.

I'd still highly recommend the Kaiser Lv2 skill on the chance you have the Warrior card set that takes a % of your HP and turns it to damage.

that card effect sucks.
and it only works from your base HP, so kaiser card doesn't help it at all.

That was exactly my thought reading through this thread's first page.

That 15% is extremely useful until you hit 200, something that is only really that common in GMS. But even before then, for every 100k EXP you get that's an extra 15k. 15% less work for 200/whatever level is your aim. How is that not something you'd want?

OP asked what the best link skills were. Imo, all of them are pretty crucial to a well rounded account, but the one I could do without the most is the mercedes link skill. That is not to say that I don't constantly use it. It is really helpful and like I said in my last post, I recommend getting them all if you can.

Mercedes' Link Skill is useful. Especially now with the Pantheon Portal since it allows us to bypass the horrible continental traveling system altogether.

But going from 70-120 for 5% more EXP isn't worth it.

Yes, traveling alone is a fantastic bonus. AND ACTUALLY, the extra 5% is going to help a lot in creating future classes with future link skills. Just consider it's going to help you later on... Not to mention it has skill cooldown reduction on her card, that's quite helpful, too.

The cooldown reduction caps at 5 seconds though, so it's not that useful. For buffs with cooldowns, the Mechanic card is superior. (Plus the three Pirate card deck bonus gives DEF Ignore.)

It doesn't cap at five, that's some wonky descriptor that might be designed for skills like Snipe or Glacier Chain or something like that.

I have 4 "main" accounts because I like to separate my characters I intend to main... These lv2 Link Skills are going to be a pain to get Sad

Of the CURRENT skills, I will definitely get DS. Mercedes is not worth it for me
I will probably end up getting Lumi/Kaiser because of all those 1.5x coupons they give.

How does one get level 2 skills? I have a level 138 DS, but his skill is still level 1. I don't see a quest for it neither.

That comes in a later update (DS and Cannon Shooter revamp + Hyper Skills). The rest get their Link Skills upgraded at the first part of Unlimited, I think.
