List of countries that can play GMS
#1
It's been a year or so since ThMS, the server I played, shut down. MapleSEA blocked all connection from Thailand shortly after. I've always thought they did that because they tried to avoid servers traffic jump from Thai players move to SEA, and they should unblocked some time later. But they're still blocking the connection from Thailand.

Does that mean I have to be on GMS?

I think gMS blocked Thailand as well since it's in Asia.

Hope for the best.

Tongue I'm guessing they forgot Thailand is a part of SEA. Talk about geography fail on top of the other fails already present!

Wasn't MSEA supposed to majorly be: Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia? Or was there a different third country that was the big three for MSEA?

What is I don't even...

It's currently Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines which was added this year. Thailand had its own server prior to this but they haven't removed the IP block even though ThaiMS is now closed.

I get that's what's going on now, but I thought back before Thailand had it's own MS version, it was included in MSEA as the three main countries for MSEA.

Its been a long time since I cared about MSEA (No offense), so it might have been but it also might not have been. I do know that there were originally 3 countries that were the focus of MSEA hosting, and this was long before the Philippines was added.

Believe me when I say absolutely no offence was taken. Tongue That's the odd thing, I certainly don't remember Thai people ever playing here and I've been playing since 2005.

If your country's personal MS shut down your are kinda screwed. Once you get your own server, you are cut off from the others, permanently. Brazil had this problem too. If the player base is large or profitable enough, you may eventually get added back to one of the larger ones.

I have 26 magicians in Gemini, but that was long ago before the IP block; somewhere right before Bigbang, I think. And yes, that was when ThMS was operating.

So no official MS servers can be played from Thailand atm?

Oh? That's odd, I've heard of players who had accounts prior to IP blocking still being able to access them but on the other hand they weren't from Thailand, so it's possible that you're really out of luck.

I haven't tried to log in to the account yet. It's my friend who wants to play, download the game, and got this IP block.

Ask him/her to try it again then. If I'm not mistaken it should work.

Try complaining in PPF, it helps sometimes.

I remember Philippines complained in there too and it got opened for them shortly after.
