Kay so, after the 4 days worth of 2x EXP Nexon gave us, I was level 82 and fresh out of Slimeys ready to take on newer and better monsters. Right? Wrong. As soon as I went to check out how I'd fair at Duals, they ate me alive. The EXP/hour was barely any better than Slimeys and the only difference was I was draining pots 3 times as fast. I never remembered having 8x training troubles on my Sniper or Sader, so why is a Marauder so frigging painful? I'm 95 now and it's STILL not any easier to take down monsters with more than 30k HP.

well you see, us gunslingers failed from 1-79 (well 5x-7x is decent at wind raiders) while you brawlers destroyed our lvls, now when we shine you fail kk?

Chief Bandits are the same way. You hit a brick-wall in terms of training (Gobies excluded) at 8x. It just goes downhill from there till 12x.
Or at least, that was my experience.

I'm having the same problem. Once I hit 100, I was llike "okay, cool... I have a new knuckle, and I should be able to train a lot faster." Wrong. Right now, I'm at a huge brick wall. Everywhere is giving me crap experience.
I guess theres nothing to really do except tough it out til 120?
As for training in the 80s... I guess I got lucky, as I was in the 8x's when we had the server wide 12 hour double experience for Thanksgiving weekend.

What's your build? I find it really easy to train at gobis with a good lvl of energy blast. Just use backspin blow -> double upper -> repeat to the houses, sommersault when they spawn, then energy blast.
My build was Max stun mastery first, then lvl 12 energy charge (lvl it gives 13 atk), then lvl 11 energy blast (LvL it hits 3 monsters), max energy charge, then blast.
If you didn't put anythin into shockwave/transform then you should be pretty close to having all 3 of those maxed by your level.

My build:
20 Stun Mastery
34 EC
0 Blast
0 Drain
1 Transform
21 Shockwave
I'm somewhat following the build Shikage posted if that matters.

sorry to say but you're screwed then lol. No wonder you find it so hard to train. Not having blast sucks ass.

I'd love to be as screwed as you say I am, but I'm not. People were always saying "Blast sux" so it was too late for me. Guess I should start pumping points into Blast now.

Yah I read alot before pirates were released about how transform + shockwave build first was the way to go. I have lvl 21 shockwave and max transform and I still don't use either one. I actually kill faster NOT transforming, and I save more pots. 3rd job transform fails pretty hard.
I'm not sure why Shikage recommends shockwave first. There might be maps in JMS that are better for shockwave like in Magatia where the maps are pretty flat, and you can OHKO a mob of them with shockwave. That would only be good for low lvls though.
Without blast you're pretty much stuck doing slightly more than 2nd job damage all the time. Failwave can only be used for 2 mins with a really ridiculous cooldown. Backspin can be used to stun a mob, then you come in with blast to chance at critical to all 3. Not to mention blast's delay is very short. At gobis, you can recharge your entire energy bar with only 1 1/2 goby houses. So you're using blast almost all the time.

Is gobies really that efficient for brawlers though? Stunning would fail because they'd float to the bottom, and SSkick CAN'T be that useful can it?

You don't stun the gobis, just the houses and bonefish. Gobis I just do sommersault when they spawn, blast, sommersault, repeat. I usually kill them by the 2nd blast. I'll see if I can frap a short training session or something to show how I train there. I don't have a z helm and I'm still using a 100%'d lvl 50 knuckle so my damage will be anything but spectacular, but I think it'll get the point across. I can actually kill there almost as effeciently as my bandit, at the same level, and fully equipped.

The "deal awesome damage with pomegranate equipments" was pretty hard to believe before all the screens, but this is just fucking breaking the damn mold.

Sounds to me like you 2 are underestimating the power of Blast . I'm at work right now, and I won't be home for 2 more hours so you'll just have to be patient. I'll try to have it up on youtube by 2morrow.

I'm looking forward to seeing this, not because I don't believe you, but for motivational purposes.

Heh, I didn't really notice a difference between leveling my Buccaneer (Using JMS terms here) and leveling my Crusader in GMS. Level 10 to 70 in JMS took me 11 days on my unfunded Infighter. Then, from that twelfth day, it took me about a month and a half to reach 120. I did become very lazy once I reached 70, which hindered my training speed, but I do have to admit that training at 8x is a pain. I couldn't stand Gobies, since I'm too used to using Combo to one hit kill Gobies, so I didn't train anywhere but Duals from 80 to 101. I'd say that took me about three weeks to go from 80 to 101. When I got to 101, I started training with my level 8x Priest and level 9x Hermit friend, which sped my training up by ten fold, if not more. So, once you get to level 100+ (just like a Crusader) it gets better.
By the way, I did NOT use the build I wrote for third job. I used Daemarius' Energy Charge build and I hated it at Duals. It was very useless to me, since Energy Blast didn't hit enough monsters for my liking at those levels. Just bare with it and you'll grow to LOVE your character.

You're an exception to training threads.
@rusty: It's not that i'm underestimating blast, it's that i'm (VASTLY) underestimating your equipments. How fast would you say one can start at gobies?

Well.... i'm done getting footage for the video and i'm redownloading sony vegas torrent right now. Considering my range is down by OVER 40 attack (losing 30 attack from knuckle, and using an ACC glove instead of my 14 atk bwg), I think I kill them pretty damn nicely. A brawler with a Z helm and a decent steelno, could probably kill at the same speed I am at late 8x, early 9x.

Rusty, you mentioned before that you also trained at WS. Was that good? Because im level 80 now, and actually cant find leech. Wouldnt mind training, but really dont have much of a guide as to how to mob best. Should i just consistantly BSB > Turn > SSK > Turn > BSB etc? Or should i BSB > SSK till dead, and did you do both sides then bottom, i am assuming.
Also, since i now have (nearly) max SM, 11 SHockwave, and 1 transform, what level of Energy charge should i start putting points into blast for. Because quite frankly first few levels of both charge and blast seem like it would just slow me down. But having the energy charge activated would at least do some extra damage, so i was thinking getting that to 11 or 14, then either 2 charge 1 blast, or just get blast to 11 and then 2:1 it till both are maxed.
