Yes, but we were all thinking something more along the lines of a lightsaber - especially with the Unlimited update site thingy showing Xenon with a whip-like energy trail behind him.

whips in GMS are also swords too, who knows if we'll get a sword like luminous staff "only for xenon"

I'm pretty sure Ivy's sword is where the Crissagrim Blade comes from. I don't think that sword exists in any other game lore.

It is an old Suikoden design too. Nash Latkje uses Grosser Fluss, two swords that extend into whips, in Gensō Suikogaiden from 2000.

Oh, so that's why people were going on about an Alice In Wonderland theme! I only saw Alice just now, the Cheshire cat picture clears things up and- ... - would put MapleSEA's Enchanted Forest to shame a million times over.
