Nexons Notice to Tyrant Gear
#81
Locked Wrote:Why wouldn't they be in-game?

Idk, I thought I read something on SP that said ab equips won't be available until ab is released? Maybe it was refering to 140 ab gear.

CrazyForDex; You can craft them. They just don't drop. You can also craft the 130 PvP weapon I believe.

CrazyForDex Wrote:Are you not familiar with Nexon's past history of stopping exploits or are you just playing devil's advocate?

Edit:

Weren't these not supposed to be in game yet?
 Spoiler

I am playing devil's advocate. A past history of nothing being done for years/months about exploits is no excuse for petty-yet-quick fixes now. I do not see that as anything other than an insignificant improvement.

Insignificant or not, I am sure you can agree that it is better that they have started to do something rather than just letting these exploits run rampant as they have in the past. Clearly they are not fixing the problem at the source, but I have little knowledge about that so I will stay out of it. For this particular exploit, they only announced that they were removing the exploit and banning some of the players involved. I am figuring that they will remove more/most of the generated items and ban more players in a future patch (which I am hoping will be soon).

Kaiser's out in 6 days, so there's your patch.

Agreed, better it is. But I will continue to insist that what they are doing is nothing close to enough, nor is it competent.

Consider it a stepping stone then. We all agree it's not as 'enough' as it should be but this is still a big improvement from the past.

They have already written in their notices that they will be deleted, and for no one to buy them. They also stated they would tell us when it is a natural occurrence for them to be available. Less people buying them makes it easier to weed out the people who are doing things wrong, and makes the hacker's stuck with illegit equips that will be deleted(since no one will buy off them), and hopefully get them banned as well.
I'm not seeing the problem here?

Me neither. If that blue notice is even displayed directly upon login that makes it very throughout and since people know better than to try anything funny unless they want to get banned that means they can erase all of the generated capes during the Kaiser patch.

A stepping stone to what? More quick or constant fixes? See what I mean? Ticket after ticket piling up, bug after bug piling up, exploit after exploit piling up. Nothing's moving really, even though it might look like it is on the surface.

I dunno, maybe I'm being too pessimistic.

That, as well as annoying.

This is actually an extremely quick response by Nexon. They've been, from what I can see, been improving steadily in the past few months. They're not going to take down the game indefinitely before figuring out a plan of execution that should work.

They were made aware of the problem, they addressed it, and now we wait.

I don't know if it's always displayed upon logging in as I haven't paid attention, but the notice is spammed repeatedly every few minutes or so.

Your post speaks for itself. They already made a notice stating they WILL be deleted. The patch with magnus is in 6 days.

I'm usually to first to call Nexon out, but this is the best they've been in years. I have faith that things will go well.

Declaimed Wrote:Not everyone was aware that this stuff truly shouldn't be available before Nexon said otherwise, though. Not everyone follows KMS, and not everyone cares to put two and two together and try to logically deduce where an item would come from. Some just think "Better item, higher stats, must've came out recently or something". Lets not place ALL the blame on the hackers and dupers. They had a part in it, sure, but the fact that this was possible at all is pineappleing rediculous.

Sometimes I feel like the players are given a responsibility that they shouldn't have to bare. Its placed on your own shoulders to dodge equipment that could be duped or illegitimate, when in reality it should be ALL Nexon's responsibility to keep this crap out of the game before it ever even gets the chance to hit. Thats garbage, you say? I disagree. I honestly for a second believed that the Tyrant capes might've been thrown into the gachapon when I wasn't looking. It's not a bad thought to have, because it ISNT unlike Nexon to do. I didn't buy any, but still.

Summary: Tired of these pineappleing exploits, Nexon. Either somebody needs to step up their game, or somebody needs to get fired.

Shitty QA man. As long as people can log in and play and spend NX that's all that matter. They'll slowly fix the bugs.

I love how Nexon is fixing their mistakes and people are still complaining.

Guess you just can't please some people, eh?

Praising a company for fixing game-breaking bugs in a timely manner on a regular basis is like praising a firehouse for constantly putting out fires which occur inside the firehouse itself on a regular basis. But go ahead guys, I know none of you are used to being treated this "great" by Nexon.
