Bleach Manga thread (SPOILERS)
Kubo is amping it up pretty good lately.

Bleach has always had decent exposition chapters. The problem is, there aren't enough of them, and It'll all be downhill once we get back to the overly long fights.

I can already see the thousand Doujinshis that hotsprings scene will cause.

As for the Spirit King part:
1- We haven't seen him yet, his silhouette definitely doesn't count as revealing him.
2- What else did you expect? If Ichigo just left the palace healed and with a new sword, that'd be ridiculous. If they suddendly stretched this part or skipped back to Soul Society, everyone would be disappointed. Get it done already, we don't even know how important this guy is to this arc.

I felt the only thing about this chapter remotely interesting was Byakuya getting tossed around like a ragdoll.

Otherwise I felt it was pretty stupid.

Sorry, Yamamoto just recently died, Soul Society is in shambles. Hell of a lot of people dear or near dead with Gotei 13 in a severely weakened state.....and we're in a hot-springs episode. Combined with stupid reaction shots from Ichigo?

I feel like the mood from like these 2 past chapters has been completely out of place.

Oh and my favorite statement. Calling the Quincies depraved. Yes, they're totally depraved despite the fact this entire thing pretty much started because of a failed GENOCIDE.

But dude, there was a genocide because the Quincy were evil. That makes it ok, right? RIGHT??

Idk, I thought this was an interesting change of pace from the deadly fighting that was going on beforehand. Seeing some more of the Zero-squad and getting an explanation for how some of these main characters are rejoining the story.

My favorite part of this chapter was when he held Renji up by the hair and Ichigo said it looked like he was holding up a beet (at least in the mangastream translations)

Every time I see you post in a manga thread I really just have to force myself to not tell you that you're an uptight jackass and need to take mangas less seriously. People like you who over-analyze things to the extent of just bitching over every sorry detail make it less enjoyable for those of us who just read it for enjoyment. It's really simple; if you don't like it: don't read it.

I agree he is rarely happy, but resorting to insults solves nothing and just creates drama.

And I love people like you.

Gasp, I criticized a manga. I must be a jackass.

I like how you guys claim I'm the jackass yet you guys make the aggressive posts towards me.

Sorry, but Bleach exist inside of Shounen Jump which is probably the most popular manga magazine in Japan, and is also a highly competitive manga field. I feel if Bleach is going to exist inside of this magazine, taking up a spot from another manga and artist, it should be producing top quality work which Kubo hasn't been doing most of the time and getting paid for it.

Lastly, if you can't take different opinions and criticism, its really simple. Get off the internet.

It's not that I am unable to understand where you're coming from. It's that every single time you make a comment it is negative/"omg dat was so expected". It's just like, do you think that everyone else does not read the same manga that you do? Do you really think that your negative insight is something the rest of us don't see? Most of the time your comments can go without being said and I think a fair amount of people are tired of it.

Oh, so I have to posts "positive" comments when I don't really see anything positive just to satisfy you/others? Or I have to keep my opinion to myself just because you don't like it, and you only want to see what you like?

Get real. I posted what I thought about this chapter and I stated my perfectly understandable reasons without antagonizing anyone because this is a Bleach thread. If what I have to stay unfortunately is against what you think, and if it isn't flaming, Deal with it.

Shippo again?

We all know he makes it a lot harder to simply read this thread and have discussions that aren't "durrr kubo can't write". If, like me, you think that is a problem, block him, it'll make the thread a lot more readable, I promise you.

Pretty decent chapter cant wait to see how they make kenpachi even stronger than he is now. I really want to see a flash back of the first kenpachi (yachi) when she was in her prime and didnt turn in to a soft medical soul reaper.

New chapter's out. Looks like we're starting to get somewhere now. I hope.

Now this is an actual chapter.

The only thing bad about it is Renji because he's Renji.
Reply
Huh. So that means Unohana was the only person that Kenpachi ever admired?

(He named Yachiru after the "only person he ever admired", and we just found out that Unohana has been called Yachiru)

....

Though, I thought Unohanas first name was "Retsu", not Yachiru. Is Yachiru only a title too then, like Kenpachi?

Nailed this one.

CrazyForDex Wrote:Plus it is always hinted that she is very powerful, both in terms of healing and fighting prowess.

And you nailed this one. I just wonder where that Wikipedia gets it facts from? it must have been a source out of the manga because Unohana's power was never hinted inside of it ever before. (that I remember).

"Do you imagine the devastation he will cause if he ever rebels?"
Niggah please, Soul Society is already destroyed and the spiritual world is in danger of collapsing over both hueco mundo and real world. wtp else can do Kenpachi now thats not already happened?

It's from the databooks. It's not a databook only thing either. Ukitake and Kyoraku both referred to Unohana in a way that suggests she is their superior too.

Another point is that Aizen delibrately didn't start a fight with her back in soul society, despite attacking so many other people, he didn't even try to fight Unohana.

I thought everyone knew she was one of the strongest captains :f6:.

XD Yea I know I called it, but I was always pretty aware that she was one of the strongest captians in SS, although I didn't know she was the first Kenpachi.

This manga just took it up a notch. Lol @ Renji and Ichigo suddenly being strong enough to take a Zero-Squad punch.

Refering to her as a senior doesn't necessarily mean stronger. She's obviously older than them so I thought it was sign of respect to her age (and that she's a woman). As for the Aizen fact, I missed it that one.

Renji most likely took a weakened punch because that guy's hand was already hurt from hitting Ichigo.
