I could be missing something. Just speaking my mind.) Maplestory Unlimited doesn't look so great, but even worse are the two classes that follow. Not sure about "Monster World". I am the type to make a bunch of classes, and even I'm tired of it. At some point, you realize you're basically doing the same things over and over again, and the only thing that really changes is your character's looks and skills.

Demon avenger is intriguing. Can anyone confirm that STR does nothing in terms of damage?

if one would have to guess, it would be a secondary stat, but who knows except the ones who looked into the matter.

Hmm.. Forgive me if I've passed by it in the thread, but I'm curious.
Avenger uses HP as it's main stat, so when you autoassign, all points go into HP, right? Then what about armor? It's a warrior-type character, so all warrior equips need str, right? Does Avenger have it's own special equipment that has an HP requirement or no requirement at all, or are they screwed in terms of armors?

It has a "passive skill" which allows it to ignore the STR requirement on equips.

To be honest, it's kinda stupid having the AP system still in place if there's only ever one stat worth adding points into now. They should either make other stats worth adding points into for other benefits, or do away with the whole "gain AP upon level up, allocate them as you like" system and make it get added automatically upon levelling up since no one's gonna add AP to anything other than their primary stat anyway.

So the present-day STR Shads no longer enjoy the extra hp gained per level due to their STR?

They never had that. STR Shadowers only existed before due to the existence of STR daggers.

Did everyone just have their damage-cap-breaking privileges revoked in favour of a massively buffed Epic Adventure?

You mean their damage cap lowering privileges?

Yeah, they definitely should do something to make stats worth investing in beyond "loldamage".
For example, DEX could add to Crit rate, INT could add Elemental Resistance, etc.

And then someone would come along, figure out the ideal min maxing build, and there would once again be a single stat build to rule them all.
Automatic allocation is the only rational way to go. For skills as well. Customization is overrated, and only serves actually to gimp characters. It leads to padding skills that spread effects over multiple skills, instead of consolidating them to make characters more practical.
Customization used to be Maple's appeal. But now it's just archaic, nonsensical and utterly impractical in an era of buffed hard hitting bosses where one needs to milk as much damage out of their character as they possible can. Especially if they're not NX whores and don't have access to Infinity+1 equipment.
Suffice it to say, Nexon's constant "rebalancing" (or rather, moving the goal posts) with more skills, more items, and MORE POWER has continually undermined the very foundation of the game until it no longer serves a purpose. The illusion of customization is not true customization if a single stat and skill build is superior to others and damage is the only thing that matters due to the outrageously inflated hp and attack stats of the strongest enemies and bosses. Rather than making everything more powerful, the game could actually use universal nerfs to characters, enemies, bosses and especially items, with a special emphasis put on the latter two.
In about a year, we'll probably see the goal posts moved again with a damage cap of 100, nay, FIVE HUNDRED MILLION! Because Nexon just can't stop themselves from moving the goal posts. Which is why the game's not much fun anymore. Just when you think they're gonna hunker down and fix things, maybe by fixing the fubar "one stat to rule them all" system of character customization, they say NOPE and laugh because you're no longer powerful enough to be considered 1337. All while doubling down and making their newest character a pure HP warrior. It's a total scam. That Nexon Xenon is a soulless whip wielding robot only serves to drive the point home that they're not concerned with the enjoyability of the game.
But hey, AT LEAST THE NEW SKILLS ARE FLASHY!

Hmm, I want to clarify here. The Unlimited Update starts in two days, we have Demon Avenger in Tespia, are we able to expect Xenon one to three weeks after the first patch goes live?

So there's a video of a Hero in KMST with a max 2m-2m range hitting quite high in Mu Lung Dojo. Oh, and the guy only has about 2.3kish str total.
Unfortunately, the one who recorded was lagging like a pineappler, but you can still see the gist of it.

Apparently, he's using a weapon that probably has over 30k in Random Option Attack, maybe one of Nexon's errors.

I was going to say, how the F'UCK do you get 2m-2m range with only 2.3k str? Sounds like there's the potential for hacked weapons all over again.
