i wanted to know if Capt Latanica is released yet, because all im getting from chan surfing is that the battle is already going on, or that i have entered within 24 hours.

He is relesed, but with the glitch, you can only enter after a SC or patch because after he is defeated and you go out it says its still going on.

Just a word of caution- you must have a bunch of high leveled buddies to fight Latanica...the most you can do is attempt to survive it with MG....

lol level 55 is like, really really really low for latanica. on level 110 it took me 5 mins to solo it.
