No, the bet was that the black mage will never become a piece of boss content that isn't "glitched" like pb or empress was on release.

Make sure to read the fine print.

"If Maplestory ever allows you to kill the actual Black Mage, I will eat my shirt."

The chances of Nexon allowing you to do this is non-existent. You'll kill a copy, a clone, someone dressed up like the black mage, a wannabe, etc.. But they won't let you kill him.

inb4 this is "Automata" and s/he wields a "Scythe" Weapon type.

If that is a playable class, then I'll be gasping for air.

My first thoughts were Automata/Xenon.

..then the design looked somewhat... Pantheon-like? Looks far too advanced for Resistance technology. New Nova class speculations, gogogo.

Gear motif on the scythe like the other resistance classes. But...I thought Xenon used an energy whip?

Please let it not be a Nova/new class. I would have to say this is far more likely to be related to Xenon though.

It's definitely a Nova. You can tell by the dragon wings.
