Itachi54647 Wrote:I have question about the Hermit skills.
Are the skills, Alchemist, meso up, and shadow mesos useful? (is it reccomended that you should put points into them?)
Of course Alch is useful, from back when all we had was Grims (and you were great stuff if you trained there) to now, Alch has never lost a tiny bit of use. Combine it with those fancy new pots from NLC, Sorcs and Barbs heal an amazing amount for their cost and'll do you good for the rest of your life. The earlier after finishing up SP you get it, the better. I did it as third skill the first time I made a hermit, and then on my second one right after SP, it's an immensely useful skill.
Meso Up, not so much. You'll get it before getting to Lord of Nig regardless, but you can hold off until you finish up on everything else besides Web and Shadow Mesosososos. Personally I got it before the aforementioned and Avenger, because I never found Avenger all that handy. Himes didn't come out first time round till I had it maxed and afterwards I still didn't care for it because with a bit of washing you can just as well go for the bottom of Newts, but that's more of a personal choice.
Shadow Meso on the other hand, has never once been a skill worth your time. Before all them fancy shammikafloody equips we have now, you'd do better damage than it at 12x/13x, now way earlier than that, Web has very limited uses itself but still more than Shadow Meso. Like holding Himes when killing the Tengumonster and not having someone mob them up for you. Anyone putting more than 1 point into these days is rather an idiot, in the past you could see it rarely used when a Zak went horribly wrong and you'd be in there after two and sommat hours, but that's easily solved by carrying a proper amount of stars, and Zak's more than 20 minutes nowadays are incredibly rare aside from solo's and maybe 6man runs not consisting of superduper people.

Heres some more questions:
If i play for about 3-4 hours a week how long will it take to get from lvl 70-80, while maxing out shadow partner?(low dex)
@bucket, Do you suggest that i shouldnt max meso up or shadow mesos?

Shadow Meso you can skip entirely, Meso Up you'll put points in but not right away. It wont make you billions simply by training but it'll add a bit of income throughout the time of murdering innocent monsters which is always welcome, and there's nothing else remotely useful to to put points in.
Basically by the time you're 120 you'll have maxed everything except Shadow Mesos which doesn't deserve more than one point, ever. The remaining ten SP you could use to max Dark Sight if you haven't which is infinitely more than help than anything else you can do at that point.

being twenty lvl to shadower is making me think of what build i would like
at 120 was
1 fake
1 BS
1 Venom
at 121
1 taunt (slight more exp and drop chance)
1 BS
1 Assassinate (for fun)
then BS to 21
then after 21 BS i'm debating Fake max or more venom.. I looked at a lot of threads but no answers have came to me by reading them.

I think that what you should max first is more dependent on what skill books you have by then, rather than following some "ultimate build".

Did assassins in gMS ever make Criticalless builds? I remember seeing some old videos where the hermits had no crit visible. Or did the red bolded lettering come later? :/

The UI was updated to show criticals a little while after the game started.

I'm a level 127 low dex NL and just started playing again. I was wondering, what's more beneficial to upgrade right now, a higher att claw or Triple Throw 30 book?
I currently have a 60 att craven and level 20 TT. I currently have 150 mil and I was planning to earn some money soon. If I upgrade my claw, it would be around the same price of a TT30 book in scania. I was wondering if the higher weapon attack would be more beneficial or would trying to get Triple Throw 30.
The problem with TT30, is the 50% chance of passing.

TT30 is worth the risk, it increases damage over time by more than any feasible upgrade to your claw (provided it succeeds).

TT30 is a crap upgrade, better off putting points into actually useful skills and spending money on things that'll make your damage actually go noticeably up like a better claw. Anyone who's ever been a NL monster pretty much will tell you this, everyone who has never gotten to that point tells you otherwise strictly from assuming. Don't wither TT30 until 15x and put point in skills that actually help you.

Shouldn't buy TT30 till all your equips please you. If you Need a better claw, your better off just buying the claw instead of TT 30. Claws don't have 50% chance rate, and more then likely don't drop from the strongest boss in game.
And I have to disagree, TT30 does show a big difference. Just not as much as you would expect.

What would be like minimum funds for decent equips for a STR bandit to get to level 70?
Easy question :O

The minimum funds would be nothing. Well, maybe 35-50mill for a zhelm. I honestly don't know what you mean with decent equips for a bandit. Decent equips to me are the normal thief armors. Really, what decent equips are, is only an opinion. Give us some more info about what kind of ap build you want to follow, please.

That's kinda the problem.. All the guides say to pump stuff into DEX, but I really don't want that much DEX.
Right now I'm just level 10 with 25 DEX/4 STR/ 37 LUK/ 4 INT.
I think I'll have quite a bit of mesos if I do eventually quit my sniper completely. I have around 85m in pure mesos.

Right now I'm just level 10 with 25 DEX/4 STR/ 37 LUK/ 4 INT. You could just use daggers that don't require dex until you reach the weapon you want to use (Korean Fan, Diamond Dagger, Maple Wagner, Maple Dark Mate, etc).

I'm currently wondering what I should invest on in order to increase my damage output. Please bear with the fact that I'm unfunded and I've also been a normal dex (kinda straying now) thief since the beginning of time. I also didn't anticipate to get a Zakum Helm this early; therefore, my dex is quite high. I plan to AP reset down; but to what number? (Please let it not require too much NX. D
Dex: 151 (114+37)
Luk: 385 (358+27)
ZHelm, 13 STR, 14 LUK, 19 Accuracy, Clean. Everything else is average.
Spiegelmann, 2 luk, clean, everything else average.
PAC, 3 atk, 2 LUK, 0 slots.
Moonstar, 6 Dex 2 slots.
Dark Pirate Top, 2 Dex, 5 Luk, Clean.
Dark Pirate Pants, 2 Dex, 3 Luk, Clean.
Mithril Wolfskin, 9 atk, 1 Luk, 0 slots.
Casters, 52 atk, 6 Dex, 0 slots. (Bought before the gold boxes. >_>)
BSS, 5 Dex, 0 slots. / Dark Pirate Boots, 3 Dex, 3 Luk, 4 slots.
1 Ilbi, 4 Steelys, 11 Tobis. + Baby Dragon Food.
So as of now, what should I sell, and what should I purchase? I'm already working on a Deputy Star, so that's covered... But what else? I'm planning to keep on scrolling my Dark Pirate Boots and sell off my BSS. I might just get a Craven, seeing how high my Dex is... :\
Thanks for your help in advance.
