So I grabbed ClaDun 2X...just to find out that it doesn't even run properly on my laptop. The text flickers, and when there's ANYTHING going on at all the frame rate plummets. This laptop is by no means amazing, but at the horribly low, what feels like 300x130 Resolution default, there's really no excuse.

Huge Bummer, I probably won't really play it except when I'm at work with nothing to do, and I can't even do that until I get a new laptop.

Bought XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Terraria, and some assorted other games. Now I just need the Navy Exchange on base here to restock Halo 4...

There's nothing wrong with your laptop, that issue has always been there. Look at the forums of the game, you can see every single person has the same flickering issue.
Apparently the reason for it is because it's a PSP game transported to PC which causes those issues.

The flickering issue isn't nearly as unacceptable as the lag. My framerate should not plummet to 10 because a model showed up on the screen.

I played a little Awesomenauts during the free weekend they just had. Didn't have much free time to try it but i enjoyed it. At that price you can’t really go wrong.

Yeah but they are two Xcom: Enemy unknown, the original released in the nineties and the recent one. How much did it cost? (I'm so hating steam for that region block bullshit )

They do on the US Store. It's $50 full price, it was on sale for like $33.
