Israel invades the gaza strip.
DeanNim Wrote:if you think muslims are not constantly made fun of i think youre the really really really really ignorant one here. and hey you're showing a good example here.

So freedom of speech should be buried because you feel offended? I'm sorry, but if I don't believe in the Muslim God I should be allowed to say so, or if I believe in women's rights I should be able to say sowithout fear of being shot in the face.

Israel has a right to exist as a nation. Just as Palestine has the right to exist as a nation. I'm fully aware that moderate Islam is what the majority of Muslims practice, however I've noticed so much apathy towards extremism within the Muslim world. Heck many places, note Iran, embrace it fully.

freedom of speech doesnt give you the right to freely insult people and think they shouldnt get offended.

The pineapple they do that for? I wonder which side (if even either of the two), or why this guy did this.

Seems Hamas has found out that the weakness of the missile defense system is that it can't handle more than ~8 rockets at once; they've been getting a lot more through, today.

Gaza crisis: Israel to end attacks, says Egypt's Mursi

Quote:Egyptian President Mohammed Mursi says he expects Israeli air strikes in Gaza to end later on Tuesday.

Egypt has been trying to broker a truce in the conflict. The statement came after Israel put plans for a ground operation on hold to give ceasefire talks in Cairo a chance.

BBC lost a lot of credibility with me when they reported some pictures from this conflict, but several of them were fake. Nonetheless, nice to see this might be ending.

BBC is the most credible source out there, though...dunno any other source that is less biased =/.
Doubt Egypt will broker it.

I still like BBC, but I don't like it when news organizations rush stories or multimedia reports to their readers on currently developing news without making sure what they are reporting is the truth.

That article said Hamas would be willing to have a ceasefire, but later it says that one of their top commanders said that "the enemy will pay for its crimes against out people." Hamas needs to make up its mind or the Israelis aren't going to agree to pomegranate.

Anonymous lost all my respect when they're now defending Hamas.

Freedom of speech gives you the right to both. You're entitled to make fun of others and you're entitled to feel offended.
Those feelings are justified, but they aren't a justification to censor, kill, destroy or terrorize.

I oppose mostly the same things they do. As for their methods, I have no stance on that, and I won't have because there's so many people who can do idiotic things in the name of Anon.

Israel-Hamas ceasefire comes into effect in Gaza

Quote:A ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement which governs Gaza has come into effect.

Under the deal, Israel has agreed to end all hostilities and targeted killings, while Hamas will stop attacks against Israel and along the border.

Unfortunately, I doubt Hamas will keep their word for very long :/
